Unbelievable experience.

We had the most epic day with Makenna Charters! I've been on several catamaran cruises up the Napali, but this one took the cake. Being on a smaller catamaran, we were able to get up close and personal with the rock faces and sea caves. Captain Tim took his time and made the experience amazing. The highlights of our trip were getting drenched by a sea cave waterfall, seeing several pods of dolphins in the afternoon, being completely surrounded by fish while snorkeling, and riding some huge swells on the return trip catching air in the front rows. This was the highlight of our honeymoon, thank you Captain Tim, Charlie, and Kauai for an incredible experience we will never forget!

These guys were great. Captain A’alona and his grown son Kaiao were fun, yet very careful for everyone’s wellbeing. The captain found some Spinner Dolphins and worked to ensure everyone got a chance to fee them up close. The Captain has extensive knowledge of the coast and shares it during the trip. His son Kaiao also was able to explain the history and the current activities we could see. They did a good job getting everyone involved even those concerned about snorkeling. Two young ladies thanked them afterward for encouraging them into the water. Well worth the money and time. Will do it again next time we come to Kauai.

We had an amazing tour with Makana Charters! Captain Rob and crew were all awesome hosts and guides! Being able to go into the caves was simply magical and the coastline is really breathtaking! They also picked out an amazing snorkeling spot with clear, calm waters filled with lots of fish. 5 stars from the whole family- 2 adults and 2 older teenagers 😀

The Nā Pali Coast tour aboard the Amelia K was absolutely incredible! It was even better than my family and I expected. Everything was extremely well organized, the crew was friendly, professional, and made the entire experience unforgettable. Would recommend this over and over again regardless if you are visiting Kauai for the first time or 50th time!! You get to see so much of the Kauai shoreline before you even get to Napali coast. We ended up seeing some dolphins, a turtle, and a blowfish which was the cherry on top. But the best part of the tour was the captain and crew- they were AMAZING!!!

This trip was absolutely life changing. The ride out was exceptional - the history, the culture, and the professionalism. The crew made the trip something that my family will never forget. We saw hundreds of dolphins and dolphin babies on the ride out, went into sea caves and saw numerous waterfalls, learned about the history of the Napali coast and its previous inhabitants, and spent the return trip snorkeling and eating a rewarding lunch. The crew was great and incredibly attentive to everyone on the boat. Thank you!

Your was a blast on their new boat. Morning waters were calmer than the water coming back to dock, and the snorkeling was so calm. Fair amount of fish, but the sights were awesome. Would absolutely recommend this tour, the boats were big enough to be comfortable but with capping at 18 on the boat we were on it wasn’t too crowded either. Plus, the boat is still small enough to go into some of the caves!

Incredible experience - gorgeous views, perfect boat, with padded deck for going barefoot. The crew is super friendly, skilled, and knowledgeable. Great stories about the sights as we viewed them. Plenty of time for snorkeling in a perfect spot, so even beginners could feel confident, and an ʻono lunch provided as well. We absolutely recommend it for anyone coming to Kauaʻi, and weʻll do it again!

We had a memorable tour to see the awesome Nepali coastline. On the way we had up close experiences with both bottlenose and spinner dolphins. Snorkeling was available and a light lunch provided. The captain and crew were welcoming, informative and super-friendly.
