For this family the excursion was fantastic. Captain Makana and Lionel and Nikki were outstanding guides and helpful throughout the trip. Saw Dolphins while heading to the coast, turtles and fish while snorkeling. Words don’t describe the beauty of Napali Coast. The cultural and historic information was a great way to learn about this significant location as well. We highly recommend this tour. A highlight for sure.

Wonderful time from great crew! We saw dolphins, turtles, waterfalls, and learned about the Napoli coastline. We snorkeled and saw cultural sites. The local stories and friendly staff were fabulous.

This is a wonderful tour and a great value! Lionel and Jasmine are very friendly, helpful, and informative. They made certain to give everyone an very individualized experience. They gave extra care to those who needed it, and allowed independence to those of us that did not. An absolute perfect balance.

This was a beautiful tour! Highly recommend the tour company and we enjoyed sailing on the Na Pali Kai III. The smaller boats leave from the harbor closest to the coast near Waimea canyon. The snorkel spot was better than the snorkel tour we did in Maui. Was one of the highlights of our entire trip 10/10

We had such a great experience. The staff, Rhiannon and Jay, were so friendly and fun. The sites were beautiful and it was obvious this was a family owned local experience. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to have a good family experience.

We had the most amazing tour with A’Ah (sorry for the misspelling!) and Jamie! Our family of 18 is no small feet and they rolled with our quirks and general mayhem with ease! They were great when one of our little crew members was feeling sick, offering different remedies, which helped him enjoy the rest of the tour! It was incredibly moving to learn about the Hawaiian culture and see the most beautiful side of Kauai. We even got to visit a naval boat! My son loved that! You can tell how incredibly proud Jamie and A’Ah are about where they were born and raised, and we loved learning about it and them. Would highly recommend and ask for these two!

Incredible experience. Captain Mike, Eli, and Tony were all amazing and so friendly. Loved going into the caves. Best way to see Napali coast! Saw hundreds of dolphins and a few sea turtles. HIGHLY recommend!

We were a party of three on a girl's trip. This was my third time touring with Makana. They've all been great, but this was the best! We were in the Seiko 2 with Shawn and Charlie as our crew. From the playlist, history, sea caves, care, and laughter .... everything was spot on and we couldn't have asked for a better day! We are still taking about how much fun we had! Mahalo

Captain A’alona and his son on the Seiko 1 were great. They were fun and informative of the history of the Na Pali Coast. They took us to all the must see sights on the coast and even went into an incredible sea cave. We saw dolphins and went snorkeling. This tour is a must for anyone visiting Kauai.

Absolute best experience! My husband and I went for our honeymoon and we got to see all the Nepali coastlines and views then finished with snorkeling. We will definitely be returning for our anniversary.

As visitors, I think it’s important to support Native Hawaiian owned and operated businesses whenever possible. I chose Makana Charters for this reason, and the tour was fantastic. Hearing from Nā Pali Coast locals about the history of the region made the experience very special. The boat was incredibly comfortable, with lots of room to sit and move around. We saw bottlenose dolphins, spinner dolphins, sea turtles, and more. Mahalo!
