It was amazing the service was awesome! They did a great job with the tour guide. It was during whale season and even though the trip wasn't focused on whales. They still had their eyes peeled for them and stopped when we saw them. Fantastic!

Kana and Kono were great and friendly. They had vast knowledge and were happy to share it. We saw caves in the sides of the mountains and went into 3 of them. We saw so many whales and dolphins. We were able to dive into and swim in the ocean. Highly recommend this tour.

Capt Rob and crew were amazing. Boat is built for this tour. Smooth and spacious. The crew made it so much fun and interesting. The narration was great as were the views. We saw several whales, mom and baby right next to the boat. The crew and tour all swam in the crystal clear waters together. It was an amazing time. Highly recommend this group.

We went on the Seiko with Captain Shawn. It was the best experience we had ever had on vacation. Better than all our cruise excursions we have done by far. Captain Shawn made it such a great day with his expert Captain skills and fun personality. He is a local, so you get a local touch and great history of the Na Pali Coast. I highly recommend Makana and go on the Seiko. It is a smaller boat that gives a better experience. We will be back to do this again for sure. Never going to Oahu again. Kauai is the best!!!!

My wife and I toured the Na Pali Coast on the Amelia out of Port Allen. The excursion met all of our expectations! The crew was safety-conscious, friendly, and knowledgeable. We saw whales and dolphins as well as spectacular views of the Na Pali Coast. The snorkeling was so-so but that was due to the ocean conditions. I definitely recommend Makana Tours!

My wife and I agree Makana charters was the best Napali coast boat ride we’ve ever been on!! We’re not only had Plenty of whales to see and get pictures of in the wild Hi guys, got our 32 foot catamaran in nice and close to the caves, tunnels and waterfalls along the coast!(Great driving !) Had to pull over a quick jump in the water! We also saw a couple pods of dolphins swimming next to our boat The sandwich sandwiches Water and soda were perfect! Makana and Kana Went over and above to make sure all of us were safe, got great pictures stayed hydrated and answered all her questions!! They really went over above to make an enjoyable 4 1/2 hours! We highly recommend this company those two great local guys Look forward to coming back soon Mahalo Jim and Peggy F

My husband and I are very glad we chose Makana Charters (Napali Coast Tour with Amelia K - found on Viator) to see the Napali Coast by sea! The crew were incredibly kind and thoughtful. They were also very attentive to their guests and went above and beyond to make the guests feel comfortable. They showed us incredible views of the coast. Anyone coming to Kauai must book this tour!

I'm soooo glad I surprised my boyfriend with this excursion for his birthday! I was looking for something special to do, and Makana Charters seemed to have the most uniform glowing reviews. I got very lucky. Despite the popularity of the excursion, I was able to book though it was the night before. It was such a lovely way to see the Na Pali coast...the sea caves, and hear about the history of such a lovely beautiful breathtaking coast. Oh and so thrill to see so many whales! The crew made such a difference. The captain was fabulous... Ethan was hilarious (ask him to dance under the waterfall! Charley was perfectly charming, friendly and helpful. During some points it was wonderfully warm - those clouds stayed away- lucky us, but as some reviewers have noted it's a great idea to bring something warm to wear, as it did get chilly at some points, particularly traveling back. A towel is a great idea, especially if you WANT to go under the waterfall. You don't have to, we ducked safely in the back of the covered portion of the schooner. Be sure to get there half an hour before departure, and know that shoes are not allowed. (We wore tennis shoes and had to leave them on the dock). Wonderful time! Highly recommend.
