Amazing tour! The staff was so knowledgeable and laid back. They took great care of us! Boat was comfortable and had everything we needed. We ended up in the middle of a pod of dolphins- about 300 of them! Was just perfect!!

Our experience on the Amelia K for the Na Pali coast boat tour was unforgettable. Loved to see dolphins cruising and a sweet Hawaiian monk seal. The caves and waterfalls were magical. The cherry on top was the crew- Captain Makana, Jasmine, and Nikki. They were warm, knowledgeable & took great care of all of us on board, making us all feel like ohana. Would recommend Makana charters again and again. Thank you so much!

We loved our tour with Makana Charters on the Amelia K. The boat was very comfortable and offered a smooth ride for the hours. We loved learning about some of the history of the island from the captain and crew. The subtle music was also a plus! We got to see so many beautiful views of the Nāpali coast, sea caves, waterfalls, dolphins, and more! You get to swim/snorkel for about an hour if you’d like and enjoy lunch/beverages. Would definitely recommend booking a morning tour with this family owned company.

Fun and chill captain. Amazing crew. We journeyed with Captain Dave and Liliana and we could not feel more taken care; nor could we have had a better time. We got into sea caves, the trip was kept right on time, and the Hawaiian history and legends shared with us brought the land to life. If you get seasick, you might think the site suggests you’re not too likely to do that. We went on a day that everyone from Makana described as “perfect” and “mild” and there was someone who was feeling quite sick. Captain and crew took great care of them; I’m just saying don’t think you won’t get sick and make sure you plan accordingly to take care of yourself.

Absolutely one for the books. 🌊🐬 We booked this charter for our last day in Kauai and genuinely could not have dreamed up a better way to end the trip. Shawn and Ethan went above and beyond from start to finish. The entire day felt like an adventure with friends exploring sea caves, snorkeling, cruising the coastline, spotting dolphins, cracking jokes, blasting great tunes, and just soaking up the absolute MAGIC of Kauai from the water. Seeing the whole coast from the ocean was unreal, but what made the experience so special was the energy these guys brought to the day. They were knowledgeable, hilarious, relaxed, attentive, and clearly so genuinely stoked to be out there sharing this incredible place with us. You can’t manufacture that kind of enthusiasm and it made every second even better. I loved every single minute of it. The dolphins, the caves, the snorkeling, the music, the laughs, that coastline… PURE MAGIC. Shawn + Ethan, thank you for going above and beyond and for sharing your stoke with us. You gave us the perfect final day in Kauai and a memory we’ll be talking about for a very long time. Couldn’t recommend this experience more. One for the books. 🤙🏼🌺🌊

Returned home in celebration for a birthday. Had a blast on Leialoha w/Captain Rhiannon and Jay were awesome. 20 outta 10 would recommend. We lucked out on one of the calmest days one could get on a trip. Morning trip turned dolphins, seacaves, waterfalls. To think I've only done this once. Makana Charters all day. Only thing I'm missing is a sun shirt but office was closed when I dropped by. It's ok, beautiful experience either way.

Promote local business . Energetic and enthusiastic crew. They love their job . Super clean boat and restrooms . They make u leave your footwear on the dock before boarding. Water was turbulent hence snorkeling was cancelled by the lead but he did take it to calm water for folks to swim and jump from top of the boat. Amazing overall .

Fun time. Organized with fairly clear narratives. Snorkeling and swimming off boat fun, but snorkeling was less than mediocre with few fish in that location or possibly due to changes from hurricane Lala.

Captain Rob, Leroy, & Jasmine from Makana Charters did an amazing job at making our trip memorable! It was a perfect mix of chatting, snorkeling, and simply enjoying the boat ride with reggae music in the background! I would do it again and wish I had more to tip them!

Literally so so so amazing. Charlie and Dave were the absolute best. The boat tour is not only one of the most beautiful places but having them as our crew made it even more comfortable and enjoyable. Will recommend this company and tour to anyone who goes to Kauai

We had a wonderful trip. Although there were some concerns about the tropical storms we had truly an amazing day. Water was great, guides were knowledgeable of the area and were very helpful in nothing we needed on the trip. Great job guys!
