Great boat tour! Makana, Nikki, and Charlie were excellent guides. The coast is gorgeous, so even if you don’t want to snorkel, views alone are worth it. We were fortunate enough to see many dolphins, some turtles, and a seal. Did the morning tour. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic time on and on the water. Super friendly and knowledgeable crew, smooth motoring up and down the coast. Amazing views, caves waterfalls dolphins turtles!!! I’d do it again if I had more time on the island.

Truly magical experience cruising the Na Pali Coast. We've been on 3 previous trips with other companies and this was the best. The smaller but faster boat allowed for getting into the caves to see and experience the beauty. The crew were outstanding, friendly, helpful and insightful and showed they cared about the passengers experience. Highly recommend!

We spent a fun, personal, and awe-inspiring afternoon with A'a and Jamie on the Seiko II, discovering the beauty of the Napali Coast. We were thrilled with our choice of both charter companies (experienced Native Hawaiian crew, family-run business, and perfect afternoon sailing time), as well as the Seiko II (smaller boat with amazing manuverability in which we felt like we made new friends aboard). Special kudos to A'a, Jamie, and the folks of Makana who trained them that they handled a special needs adult with care and respect. Captain A'a expertly guided us into a sea cave where I got to stand in the shower of a waterfall! Plus, we got to dangle our toes over the bow of the boat as we followed spinner dolphins! Once in a lifetime experience -- don't miss your chance!

The most amazing experience. The crew was amazing and our local. The history you get behind the culture is incredible. This is our 6th time to the island and this is by far the best thing we've ever done. We've seen the Napali coast by helicopter but this was hands down soooooo much better and something I'll never forget and would do again. We saw sea caves, waterfalls and almost 350 dolphins at once. Snorkeling was amazing. If you're in Kauai, book the morning Snorkel tour with them. You will not regret it.

We loved our trip with Makana Charters. Nikki and Hekili were very knowledgeable and had great attitudes. They made the trip really fun. I especially wanted to thank Captain Mike. He went above and beyond his duties as captain, he noticed that my wife was very hesitant to get in the water for the snorkeling portion of the trip. I finally got her to agree to go out into water but the Mike offered to help her get comfortable with the water. He got in with her and explained how to put on the mask and how to use the snorkel after she got comfortable with the gear he encouraged her to look into the water to see all the fish swimming around us he stayed with her to keep her calm until she felt comfortable to do it on her own. She was glad she overcame her fear and did it and I am grateful for Mike taking the time to personally make sure she comfortable and had a great experience. Thank you all.

What a wonderful time on the water. We went on the Amelia K, a larger vessel but very very smooth. We saw the coast, went on a Hawaiian Roller Coaster, and had the chance to swim and snorkel. Our hosts, Capt. Makana, Elijah, and Jasmine were knowledgeable and super friendly. We highly recommend!

Born and raised in ‘Oahu, never thought I would “play tourist” and venture out to check out Nā Pali coastline. But sooo glad we did. Our NaPali coast tour with Makana Charters was the highlight of our trip and would strongly recommend booking your tour through them! Absolutely incredible and a MUST DO. The crew, Mike, Jazzy, and Elijah were attentive, funny, educational, and really made us feel like part of the family. Every single detail of the tour was well thought out for our comfort and experience, even down to the small detail of spraying down the deck with water so our feet didn’t get burned when we were getting off the boat. The coastline was absolutely beautiful, we saw hundreds of dolphins just swimming right besides us, and got to snorkel amongst tropical fish and sea turtles using the gear they provided. We loved getting to learn more about the culture and history of Kauai and the beautiful NaPali coast.

Excellent service from captain Tim and Lionel. Best experience ever for our family of 4. Saw the Na Pali coastal views, amazing snorkeling experience, saw bunch of dolphins, went in all the caves and so much more. Definitely recommend Makana charters if you are visiting Kauai.
