Amazing! Hawaiian owned and operated with a super friendly and informative crew! The boat can handle the wind and waves really well! The snorkeling, waterfalls, lava caves and Napali Coast are breathtaking! And the dolphins and rainbows were an extra bonus! A must do on the Amelia K!

Our family had a phenomenal experience on this afternoon tour of the Na Pali coast on the Seiko II. Aside from the stunningly beautiful scenery and views, the local guides are incredibly knowledgeable and go out of their way to make you welcome and comfortable. Not only did we see all the cliffs, waterfalls, beaches and arches, they drove us into a sea cave, and later we got to jump off the top of the boat and go swimming. Be aware that you will get wet, even if you don’t swim. Bring a towel and maybe a change of clothes (there was a changing area at the harbor). It can be very bumpy and super duper windy. Anyway…Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!!!

Great experience ! But make sure you have nausea madicine, even if you think you are not prone to motion sickness. Because it will get to you eventually. Crew is super nice, they are helpful and fun. But only medicine can save you from being sea-sick. View are amazing, can only be seen from the boat. Caves are scary, but crew is great at maneuvering the boat. Once in a lifetime experience

The cruise has incredible views! And the crew on board was absolutely terrific! We got to see a few caves, fish (flying fish), turtles, waterfalls. The captain made us feel very safe during the entire trip. Most of people also went snorkeling and Makana provided all of the equipment. Near the end of cruise we slowed down and enjoyed a lunch provided by Makana. It was perfect! My wife and I highly recommend this tour. We were on the Amelia K. It has 2 nice and convenient restrooms (men’s and women’s).

Fantastic experience and company! Would definitely book with them again. We have been to Kauai a few times but have never done a boat trip to Na Pali Coast- wow we were really missing out! This is a must do experience! We saw over 200 spinner dolphins, 2 monk seals, a number of sea turtles, water falls, multiple sea caves! It was incredible!

Captain Mike is a great skilled captain!! We went as family of 4 saw some awesome sea caves, waterfalls, turtles, monk seals and dolphins. The Napali coastline is breath taking and a must see if visiting the beautiful island of Kuai. Highly recommend Makana Charters!

We did the Makana Charters tour to the Nā Pali Coast and sea caves, and overall it was a really memorable experience. They offer free parking, and there’s a restroom near the warehouse before boarding, which was convenient. They also provide a shuttle to the harbor, making the whole check-in process smooth and easy. The tour itself started off great. The water was calm and not too choppy, and within about 30 minutes we saw a huge pod of dolphins swimming literally underneath the boat, which was incredible. As we continued along the Nā Pali Coast, the views became absolutely breathtaking. The coastline is stunning in person and definitely lived up to the hype. We went all the way to the Kalalau area, which was especially cool knowing that very few people actually get permits to hike the Kalalau Trail. Seeing that part of Kauai from the water was unforgettable. The only disappointing part was the snorkeling situation. We had expected to snorkel based on the tour description, but they waited until the return trip, when the water had become very muddy and visibility was poor. Earlier in the tour, conditions seemed much better, so I wish they had stopped then instead. They did allow an open swim, but as a non-swimmer I didn’t enjoy that as much. I would have preferred snorkeling with a life jacket rather than just jumping in for an open swim. Food-wise, the sandwiches were decent — nothing amazing, but perfectly fine for a boat tour — and I appreciated that they accommodated gluten-free options as well. Overall, despite the snorkeling disappointment, it was still a beautiful and worthwhile experience. The dolphin sightings and the Nā Pali Coast views alone made the tour worth it.

I have traveled to multiple countries and have taken numerous tours, this is and it is not even close the most professional and skilled team I have ever experienced. In my opinion this crew on the boat cruise was so helpful and caring. You could tell they love what the do and at every moment of our boat ride it showed. If you want an average tour this is not for you, I would give 10 stars if I could. If you want top notch sign up, relax and enjoy. Beautiful sights, great information about the area and just an excellent family time. Edd and Diane

May 21st, we were a group of eight and had a fabulous tour with Captain Ah ah and Luka. Capt's navigation skills were amazing! His knowledge of the islands was incredible. The tour was SO much fun! We were able to go into the sea caves and a pod of dolphins on our way back. Thank you for the spectacular day! Your Utah passengers!
