This was truly the most amazing excursion of our trip to Kauai. The weather was absolutely perfect, as the Captain said when we arrived "It is an epic day". I can not emphasize enough how outstanding this trip was. The crew was very informative, narrating the entire trip. Pointing out the sights and the history of areas of the coastline. When we rounded the bend and saw the "Cathedrals" it was a very moving experience for me. To see the mountain formation over Kalalau beach is an experience I will never forget.Also the Hawaiian music they played especially at this moment made the experience so much more moving. We also saw dolphins, whales, turtles and sea birds during our trip. The Captain managed to get us as close as possible to the caves and waterfalls that required some precise vessel handling. Kudos to his expertise. The crew also made themselves available for every question that we had. Thank you for an unforgettable Tour.

We could have came to Kauai, done this tour, and then gone back home, and it would have been an amazing trip. If you are on Kauai- touring with this crew is a must!!

Makana Charter and their crew were phenomenal. The captain was super funny, and made the whole experience enjoyable and informative. We had a wonderful time touring the NaPali Coast. I would recommend them a thousand times over.

I've got to say I was very impressed, it's an hour boat ride to start the real sight seeing, then an hour back, so know that going in, but I never got sea sick, was worried I would and you stay right next to the land/coast the entire time, they feed you a lunch with chips and soda pop on the trip too, you also stop to snorkel if you want, or jump off the top of the boat into the water if you want to, my kids favorite part was standing up front in the boat the entire time we were under way, definitely the highlight of our Kauai trip. If you are hungry afterwards there are some great little restaurants to eat at within 100 yards of where you park your car for the tour. Two thumbs up, highly recommend!

The captain and crew took us on an exceptional tour with snorkeling, hundreds of dolphins, immense caves and beautiful views of the coastline. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic day spent with Captain Makana and crew! The ride was like a roller coaster on water (in a good way), the views were divine, the history shared was compelling, we got to snorkel of course, and we had time to stop and watch dolphins play. Our tour left from Port Allen, which also allowed us to spend time in Hanapepe and take in the Kauai Coffee tour the same day. Good location! P.S. The team even helped a young man plan a surprise proposal to his partner with a gorgeous backdrop for photos. Congrats to the happy couple!

Easily one of the most memorable experiences we had on the island. We opted for Makana because it has the perfect balance of adventure and comfort. We were able to stay up close to the coast for our entire trip. We got so close at one point I stuck my hand out and got water dripped on me from a waterfall before heading inside of a sea cave . It was truly magical :) Staff were all extremely friendly and personable! They took the time to get to know us on our 5 hour tour and were more than happy to answer any questions we had. My fiancé ended up getting seasick and they all did their best in helping him feel better and making him comfortable!! If you are debating on which charter to book, Makana is the best!!

Super nice guys and a great tour! Loved all the insights, watching the dolphins and seeing the marvelous coastline Pity that we couldn't snorkel around the Napali coast, but Mother Nature has the last word and safety comes first

The Captain was fantastic, that man knows how to maneuver a vessel and he shares quite a bit of history with a side of jokes... I'll leave it to you too decide which is which!! The crew were equally helpful and entertaining... I didn't say much about the views as they will easily speak for themselves. Definitely a MUST DO tour if you're planning to visit Kauai!
