We enjoyed swimming off the boat, seeing dolphins, and the scenic views. Having a marine biologist as one of our tour guides enhanced the experience. Unfortunately, the boat encountered some mechanical problems (at no fault of the company) so we turned around early and had to skip over a small part of the tour. Most importantly, the tour guides knew what to do and made sure everyone on board stayed safe.

We had an awesome time with Makana and crew!!! The NaPali Coast was breathtaking!! We enjoyed the sandwiches and snacks. On our way back, music and singing filled the air and a couple of exciting bursts of speed!! Really enjoyed this experience!!

My family and I enjoyed tremendously our experience with Makana Chapters. The tour on the Amelia K to visit the Na Pali Coast was absolutely a experience of a life time. The captain and the crew made our trip a superb and enjoyable adventure. Also, I would like to thank the entire crew for all their help and assistance with my wife who has mental issues. Their care, patience and cordiality are to be praised. I will recommend this tour to everybody. Thanks again for making this trip one to be remembered for the rest of our lives.

We had a great time on the Seiko 2 with our crew members, Kana and Sean! Be warned: the smaller boats are not for the gentle cruising types. They are high speed boats that jump the waves and maneuver quickly. The Seiko 2 is for the adventurous type looking for a fun time! I was super impressed by Kana’s abilities navigating the boat through the caves and the big swells (we went out on a day with a strong southern wave swell). Recommendations: -Take Dramamine on the ground before you get on the boat. We never get seasick but we all had moments of nausea due to the big swells and wind. -Book early in your trip in case you have to reschedule due to weather. The weather on Kaua’i can change instantly and scheduling your trip early gives you time to rebook while you are there. -Pack hats and sunglasses that you don’t care about because the wind is strong and they could blow off your head. -Have fun! I wasn’t super sure about snorkeling but I did float in the water when we anchored for lunch and it was awesome. We saw a tiger shark, dolphins, and mountain goats. Overall we had a really great time and would definitely do it again. 🤙
