The most beautiful & fun experience we’ve had on Hawaii!! Our vacation started out very rough but Makana Charters turned our vacation around with one tour & completely erased all the bad we had endured!! 10000/10 recommend! We will never forget it! This adventure is something will be booking anytime we come back to Hawaii!

I can't express enough how special of a day this was on the itinerary. Makana Charters made me feel safe and so secure on this unforgettable adventure. I loved that they all had uplifting, personable and funny personalities to make you feel at ease. The captain gave great history insights about the different areas we saw; we got to see dolphins jump and spin, mountain goats, caves, waterfalls, and jumped in the water during lunch! Even in moments where I was challenged to leave my comfort zone, such as choppy waters or moving closer to the caves, they really did a fantastic job reassuring everyone that they would never leave their comfort zone and are experts at knowing what is too risky. There is a speaker that plays music too, so on the way back to the harbor, we all sang along to classics during sunset. It was a beautiful memory and thanks to them, it was one of the best parts of the vacation. Keep a positive attitude while you're out there and remember you are seeing something that is out of this world beautiful! These views are something they make in movies and is surreal to process while you're there, so make the most of it and know you're in great hands. Dolphins, history, snorkeling, and great service! Captain Mike, Lilliana, and Ethan were amazing hosts and know their stuff! The napali coast is gorgeous and we are thankful that we got to see it with Makana boat tours!

My family and I just went out this morning on the Seiko II with captain Kona and Sean. It really was a great trip. Even my 17-year-old daughter enjoyed it. We saw seals turtles dolphins reef fish. Pulled into caves, pulled under waterfalls, and our two captains gave us the best history and geography and nature less than you could ask for. You should definitely book a trip, mornings tend to be better than afternoons I hear.

We had a great trip with Makana Charters on the Amelia K. We saw a large group of spinner dolphins and saw the breath taking coast. Our kids enjoyed swimming and my oldest enjoyed jumping off the top of the boat. Our boat did have some significant mechanical issues that greatly shortened our trip/experience which was a huge bummer. We only made it they said about half way. The crew made the best of it and made us feel safe and some people in our group didn't even realize anything was wrong. All in all it was still a good experience even with missing half of the coast. I did request a partial refund since we did not get what we paid for and it was a pricey excursion but it was refused. While I'm sure it would've been an amazing tour, getting only a little more than half the tour with no refund only calls for a little more than half the stars.

Trip of of a life time for 12 family members on a private charter. Capt and co-captain were fabulous and so accommodating. The family will never forget this experience. So glad we did a privet charter. Much appreciation to Kona and Rey! You two were fab!!
