Everything with the crew,boat, and the cultural history we had was perfection. Captain Mike and the crew were knowledgeable and so helpful with everything. The Napali coast is beyond words in its beauty. We also stopped for ten minutes to see a pod of dolphins which was magical. I am so thankful we chose Makenna charters as our company to have this experience with.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our tour with Makana Charters was absolutely incredible and one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai. Captain Mike and his crew, Lionel and Elijah, were spectacular and made the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we stepped aboard, they treated us like family and were some of the kindest, most hospitable people we have ever met. We happened to take the tour on our daughter's 7th birthday, and the crew truly went above and beyond to make her day special. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail meant so much to our family. Not only were they warm and welcoming, but they were also extremely knowledgeable. They shared the history, culture, and significance of the Nā Pali Coast in a way that was engaging and informative, making the experience even more meaningful. The scenery was breathtaking, the atmosphere was perfect, and every aspect of the tour exceeded our expectations. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we cannot recommend Makana Charters enough. If you are visiting Kauai, do yourself a favor and book this tour—you will not regret it! 🌺🌊🚤💙

Our snorkeling tour with Makana Charters aboard the Amelia K was truly the highlight of our trip. The views of the breathtaking Nā Pali Coast were absolutely spectacular, and we loved learning about the island’s history, culture, and unique landmarks from the knowledgeable crew. The snorkeling was excellent and enjoyable for every age in our group larger group, making it a great experience for families. The guides were friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable about the areas we visited. Their passion for Hawaii and dedication to making sure everyone had a great time really stood out. We highly recommend Makana Charters and the Amelia K to anyone looking for an unforgettable Kauai adventure!

We did the Na Pali Kai III tour and it was amazing. The crew was fantastic, they interacted with the passengers, made sure everyone was having a great experience, and shared many interesting and memorable sights and stories. We even saw dolphins (in the afternoon). It’s been a highlight for our trip to Kauai. I’d highly recommend this trip. Mahalo!!!

We had Sean (or Shawn) as our captain and Charlie as our deckhand, and they were both fantastic. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the Nā Pali Coast’s history, culture, and local traditions, which made the experience even more meaningful. Exploring the sea caves by boat is something you rarely get the chance to do, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Watching Sean skillfully back the boat into caves with only inches to spare was an unforgettable experience in itself. We also had the opportunity to cool off under the refreshing waterfalls, which was a lot of fun and added to the adventure. The snorkeling was amazing as well. The location was beautiful, with plenty of marine life and lots to see and experience. We chose Makana Charters because they are a locally owned and operated company, and we loved supporting a local business. We especially appreciated the small group size on the Seiko 2. It never felt crowded, there was plenty of room to spread out, and everyone had a chance to enjoy riding at the front of the boat if they wanted. Overall, it was a priceless day and truly a once in a lifetime experience. The memories we made will stay with us forever. Highly recommend Makana Charters!

This tour was the highlight of our Kauai trip! This is a Hawaiian owned company and their knowledge and love of the Napoli coast shines through every moment of this tour. The captain and crew went above and beyond to make every passenger’s experience memorable. We saw so many dolphins, beautiful water falls, and amazing sea caves. We got to snorkel and jump off the top of the boat into the ocean. I could not recommend this enough!!

Capt. Rob and crew member Leroy were the best. They made the trip up the Napali Coast so fun and from the beginning of the trip to the end their main priority was family and make sure the littles were safe and having fun. I would recommend Makana Charters to everyone.

Our boat tour was amazing! Our captain, Aa and Charlie were super friendly and made the trip enjoyable and so much fun! They were able to answer questions and provide us with interesting facts. We got to see incredible views! The website was easy to navigate (they easily added a person to our reservation after the initial booking), waivers were sent in advance and lunch was delicious (especially the gluten free option).
