This was the best excursion experience! Makena charters’ staff are so experienced, friendly and fun! We saw pods of dolphins so many times, sea turtle and got to snorkel with colorful fish. Book the morning trip to see dolphins though.

This company is great with their information and directions. Once on the boat, the crew is fantastic! We saw Dolphins and the Captain is very informative. The snorkeling equipment is great, and there is lots of help if needed. They really looked after the kids and made sure they had a good time. The Captain is very skilled when going near the shore and into the “Cave”. The crew is very attentive and making sure the group was good. We highly recommend this company!! Mahalo!!

We were looking for a snorkeling excursion that wouldn’t break the bank and Makana Charters was one of the first ones that popped up. Booking was easy online and on the phone. We filled out our waivers online and the process was simple. We took the 8:30 tour. Captain Rob and crew gave us a wonderful trip. We saw spinner dolphins, got an exquisite tour of the Nāpali Coast. We saw waterfalls, sea caves and arches. Captain Rob’s expert seamanship was on display as we made our way into some lava tubes and sea caves. Crew member Jay provided the commentary as we toured the coast. After the tour of the Napali Coast, we had lunch and spent a little time snorkeling. We had a fantastic time. Being from western North Carolina, this is certainly one of those possible once in a lifetime moments and we are thankful to have gotten to experience this with Makana Charters. Thank you all so much. We hope to make it back some day.

Great tour of the Napali coast. Staff were knowledgeable, good-natured and helpful. Our whole group enjoyed the day! Photos don't do the scenery justice. Seeing it in person is amazing. We were also very lucky to come across a huge pod of spinner dolphins, a monk seal and lots of fish (while snorkeling)!

Great staff, but they did provide fruit as written. They made it fun. I’d use them again but pack some food and snacks and drinks first on the way there if you didn’t have breakfast.

This tour of the coast was one of the highlights of our trip! We saw the beautiful Napali coast, as well as dolphins, turtles, and even a shark spotting at one point! The crew was amazing, making it fun but also felt safe especially with kids. The captain was so skilled maneuvering us into sea caves. We will never forget this experience!

Makana Charters is the best boat tour to the Napoli Coast. We took this charter twice 2 years in a row while visiting Kauai. They are super friendly and funny! The boat is clean and comfortable. And the tour is spectacular. Thank you all again!
