Absolutely the best part of our week on Kauai, and we enjoyed every minute on the Garden Island. The Na Pali Kai III was our boat and the captain and crew were awesome. Getting us in and out of several sea caves was pure skill and a thrill for us passengers. You might think the boat cruise is a little pricey but it is so worth it. The Na Pali coast is truly incredible.

Absolutely the best decision for a charter to the Na Pali coast. One of the guests with our group is a **** and our group prioritized water safety with their guidance. We are so impressed with the thoroughly reviewed safety procedures while on the boat and 100% lifeguard coverage while snorkeling. The boat ride felt safe, friendly, and so relaxing. The stops were beautiful and the employees were so knowledgeable and helpful. Lionel, our guide, gave so much interesting history. I could not be more impressed with our boat trip. Highly recommend!

Can’t say enough on how much we enjoyed our excursion. Of course the views of the the Napali coast are second to none but the staff and the boat itself are what made the trip. The boat was big enough to handle the surf on the way over Smooth and no one got seasick but small enough to maneuver in the sea caves. The captain and owner is a native Hawaiian making the experience much more special Nice drinks and sandwiches for lunch Great snorkeling stop as well.

This was hands down the best experience of the trip! It was a core memory to boat next to dolphins, snorkeling with turtles, and learning about the history of the island. Eli, Charlie, and Mike were an amazing crew that were hilarious and full of information that made the experience even more perfect! 10/10 no notes

Our family of 6 had a great experience with Makana Charters. Very knowledgeable and accommodating tour guides and crew, breathtaking views of the Na Pali coast, and information about the history and culture of the island and its people. The tour included seeing several caves and waterfalls, dolphins and other sea life, and snorkeling. Thank you so much! Our captain stated “it’s not a job for us, it’s a lifestyle,” that vibe was felt and appreciated. Would definitely recommend!

The tour was so much fun and breathtakingly beautiful!! Kana, Charlie, and the captain (sorry, his name has slipped my mind) were wonderful as well! Kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and funny. It was nice to hear the history as well, and even more special given that the people who lived in that area were the captain's family. They made my first time snorkeling so much fun and jumping off the boat was an added bonus 😁 You won't regret booking this tour at all, it was amazing! We took so so many gorgeous pictures.

A truly magical day was spent with Makana touring the Napali Coast! Makana was so professional, from start to finish. On top of that, they were so accommodating to their guests. They were always happy to snap a photo or assist with equipment. The lunch was basic, but delicious, and hit the spot. The boat is beautiful, comfortable and very well maintained. We lucked out with perfect weather and relatively calm seas. We saw sea turtles, spinner dolphins, and even a monk seal! The Napali Coast is, I think, the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my life. We all feel so blessed to have experienced this. Highly recommend this tour!

You cannot visit Kauai without seeing the Na Pali Coast from the water, and Makana Charters was great!! The Seiko 2 is a spacious, stable vessel and the tour was beautiful with plenty of great vantage points for photos. Eli and Rhi were the perfect crew—attentive, fun, and full of great information about the coast. The views speak for themselves, but the hospitality, food/snacks, and local vibe made it unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Must do experience while on the island! The staff on the boat were exceptionally knowledgeable, helpful, funny and mischievous. Be prepared to get wet!
