Absolutely fabulous tour! Very informative and funny tour guides all native Hawaiian run and owned which made the experience that much more special. Ride was about as smooth as it could be with high swells. I would go again!

We had a fantastic time on our boat tour! The scenery along the coast is unbelievably gorgeous and the crew was great - lots of fun facts along the way and they made sure everyone was taken care of and safe! It was my first time snorkeling and it was amazing to see the wildlife (even got to see a turtle underwater) and the beautiful blue waters. The boat was large enough that we had enough space and did not feel seasick at all. The sea caves were also incredible and we saw dolphins along the way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kauai.

Shawn, Asia, and Lionel (hope I spelled their names right) were phenomenal! Besides seasickness (always prep before hand even when you think you’ll be fine), the tour was incredible! The crew did an excellent job sharing the history of Kaua’i and pointing out the wildlife. Amazing experience! 10/10

Amazing experience. The views are absolutely incredible. I researched this and Captain Andys and decided to go with the more local experience and no regrets. The crew Sean, Asia and Lionel, were awesome and really were part of the experience. We took the Amelia K from Port Allen which is closer to the Grand Hyatt and did the 730 am charter. Seas are definitely a little choppier on the way back in and would recommend the moring charter vs afternoone for that reason. 10/10 made our trip!

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had! So insightful and informative! The crew was so attentive and knowledgeable. Great view, felt extremely safe, got to see dolphins so many times, and overall it was a perfect experience! They gave us plenty to drink, only thing to add is bring plenty of snacks!

The boat crew were great! Friendly,helpful,and knowledgeable. I did speak to someone in your office before our charter was to begin,to explain that we would like to go in on Wednesday instead of the scheduled Monday. The lady that I spoke to who was a manager, was rude and scolded me as if I were a child,saying"Well you can't have your money back and and you knew when you were scheduled.If you don't show up you lose your money but I can have someone call you to book it again.Well,that never happend.She lied! None the less we made it on time even though we were not quite prepared.The manager had terrible customer service skills.Actuall,she had no skills Not a good problem solver. I did love the captain and the crew!

I’m glad I chose this tour. Captain Tim & another staff (sorry I forgot her name) were very nice & accommodating. I learned a lot about the Nāpali Coast. We were able to make it all the way to the start of the Kalalau Trail. Getting inside the sea caves were cool!

Hands down one of the best experiences of our trip! The Makana Charters crew was welcoming, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about the history and beauty of the coast. They made the whole tour feel relaxed and fun. We did the morning cruise on the Amelia K. The highlight for me was seeing dolphins swimming right next to the boat with their babies! Between the stunning views and the awesome crew, this is a tour I’d do again in a heartbeat.

I came last year and did the tour with a different company and Makana was hands down the best experience. Captain Sean and Maka (i think thats how you spell their names lol) in the seiko 2 were another level. Great vibes great everything. Mahalo
