Great morning/afternoon tour! Nice boat with both open and shaded seating and great crew. Marana provided me with a gluten free turkey sandwich for lunch which was much appreciated. We saw so much of NaPali coast, including several dolphins, a few caves all with a great narration along the way. Got to snorkel for about an hour too (nice snorkel gear too). I have done three of these boat tours and liked this one the best. Great price too!

Best tour excursion in Kauai .Makana tour Captain n crew where excellent . You can not go wrong with these guys. Absolutely beautiful along the Na Pali Coast line. Looking forward of coming back and doing another excursion with this group

This locally owned and operated crew were fantastic. Even though the water conditions day of were a little choppy we still had a fantastic time and totally felt safe, as this is their backyard they grew up in. We got up close and personal views of the Na Pali Coast line and Hawaiian history. Highly recommend!

Both our captain and Tony were great. Fun and full of history facts. Indescribable experience! The Napili coast is a wonder! The smaller, more maneuverable boat allowed us to get extra close and even in some cave formations! Would recommended to all!

Makana Charters did a fantastic job with our NaPali Coast tour! The whole team is amazing with their knowledge and friendly vibes. We loved that they are native Hawaiians and shared many insights into the culture and the sacred sights we were able to view. Very attentive, patient, and kind to all the passengers, especially those with mobility issues or that needed some reassurance to enjoy snorkeling safely. And we saw baby dolphins on our tour, so that was amazing! Mahalo to Captain Mike and his crew!

Great boating trip out to the NaPoli Coast. The boat is very comfortable. Also, easy to climb back into after swimming/snorkeling. The crew were so caring and thoughtful of every need. They made sure everyone was taken care of, had plenty of good opportunities to get photos and even checked to see how everyone was feeling. Highly recommended this excursion!

Capt Tim and Leroy and Charlie were awesome - stopped a few times to check out dolphins, took us right up to caves, snorkeling was really cool too. Overall an awesome day and highly recommend.

My friend and I had an amazing experience on the Makana Charter Tour! The crew had so much joyful energy - seeing them being passionate about their job and their native land is a beautiful thing. They gave us plenty of stops along the way to provide us with history of the land and really have moments to take in pictures and enjoy the experience. Snorkeling was great - lots of beautiful fish and turtles if you're lucky! Seeing the coast up close and personal from the boat was an amazing and beautiful experience that I highly recommend to everyone. Mahalo to the crew for being so welcoming and allowing us to share in their magical island!

My friends and I had such a great time with our guides (Elijah, Liliana, and two brothers who I cannot remember the name of!!sorry!) We felt very welcomed. There was so much knowledge, story telling, jokes, and care by the crew. I’d recommend this tour to anyone! I am someone who gets very nauseous and seasick but made through most of the tour feeling just fine! When I started to feel unwell, the crew was attentive and kind.

Makena crew always friendly and entertaining. They provide much knowledge about the history of the Na Pali Coast and the kingdom of Hawaii. We did not have an ideal day for snorkeling but still enjoyed a great day of swimming under the watchful eye of the crew. This was our second time booking with them and would gladly book a next time.
