My family did the morning tour on 9/2 with Captain Shawn. He and Kana (not sure how to spell his name - sorry!) we're so fun and informative. It was absolutely the highlight of our trip and we appreciate them sharing their beautiful island with us!

Makana Charters followed up with our booking from beginning to end .. They even sent two texts ensuring our arrival time for our departure when we lost that morning .. .. The Amelia K accommodated 38 passengers with room to share and is an impressive example of a boat built to specifically travel the Napali Coast performs .. The crew was superior .. Mike the captain, Leroy and Kana .. A perfect day for us ..

Our trip yesterday exceeded our expectations! The crew was gracious, knowledgable, and fun. We particularly appreciated the captain sharing stories about the history of the land and native traditions, including his local ancestry dating back to the 1600s. Seeing an enormous group of dolphins—and even a baby learning to breach—was such a thrill! We went inside caves…snorkeled…and saw heavenly coastlines we couldn’t have seen otherwise. We loved every minute.

Second trip with Makana and again it was fantastic. The Seiko boat provides the capability of a zodiac boat or raft tour, but has much more stability and comfort. The crew is great because they are local and have authentic connection and heritage tying their stories of the Napali coast and Hawaiian culture.

Fun, pretty, and really cool experience. The tour guides all know they're stuff really well and are really friendly. I'd highly recommend! This is my second time going to the Napali Coast and it was still incredible. The only thing I'd say could've been better are: the sandwiches provided were very skimpy in ingredients (meat, lettuce, tomato, etc) and the snorkeling spot was very deep so for those who couldn't dive or swim well it was difficult to see and experience the reef.
