From the very beginning this was a smooth and enjoyable experience. The staff was incredibly accommodating and with every interaction they had a smile on their faces! The boat ride was beyond our expectations and we re definitely going to recommend this locally owned company to everyone!!

Absolutely stellar experience. Great crew (Asia, Elijah, and the captain) on the Amelia K! Full of knowledge about the coastline, Hawaiian history, and recommendations for other plans on the island. We were able to see several pods of dolphins, swim/snorkel a couple of times, and even had a chance to see a humpback whale. Highly recommend booking with these folks whenever possible.

Boat too small for ocean conditions on October morning (afternoon cruise supposedly worse), >10% passengers had severe sea sickness. Crew great, but would charter bigger boat, catamaran or do helicopter tour to see Nepoli Coast to avoid swell and wave conditions

The captain & crew were the best and you add in humor it makes you want to do the tour again & again. I have never seen such beauty & I will always remember my 25th wedding anniversary! Thank you!

A friend highly recommended Makana - and we cannot imagine anything better! Spinner dolphins greeted us shortly after we departed. Our captain, Shawn (Shaun?) and team member Kyle (probably not his name but what my ears kept hearing) shared history and personal knowledge of the island geography, animals, agriculture, and fascinating cultural history. Captain S ensured any passenger hoping for a refreshing shower was duly accommodated - from a waterfall over the opening to a cave. Our snorkel stop did not disappoint - and our sandwiches were good! We were in a group of 14 - easy to move about the boat as desired - and always felt that our safety was of great importance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The captain and first mate was fabulous and funny. They made the already beautiful trip a lot more enjoyable. I thought we were just going for the scenery, but we got several history lessons about that part of the island too, and we love history.

Excellent Tour, highly recommend. Guides were so personable and knowledgeable. Boat and equipment were clean. Didn't feel rushed at all. Had amazing dolphin experiences on the way out and back. Snorkeling provided some fish and turtle viewing. This tour won't disappoint!

The staff was very nice and helpful. We did not get to snorkel which was a real disappointment. We also were not prepared for how rough the ride would be. We took dramamine the night before and the hour before and we were still queasy. I think there needs to be an emphasis on this. I also feel like they really scare you into getting there on time, saying they will leave without you if you are late with absolutely no refunds. They left an hour later than the scheduled time. We were stressed and rushed all morning for nothing and lost time in the afternoon that we planned on something else. The coast line is beautiful and worth seeing.

Excellent tour of the NaPali coastline. Makana was the Captain and couldn’t have asked for a more experienced guide. Into the caves with waves crashing around, it was amazing. Lily and Lionel assisted and made sure all guest were pampered and informed of the historic areas we visited. Mahalo Nui loa!!

We enjoyed this sunset cruise. The captain was very knowledgeable, sharing facts and stories along the way. The crew mates were fun and so friendly. We had a bottle nose dolphin grace us with an appearance too. Great time, would definitely recommend and the coast line is absolutely beautiful!
