Why take this tour?

Complement your visit with the official audio guide of the Museum of History of Cartagena. The museum director himself welcomes you into this historic colonial house that became the Museum of History since 1924. Inside, on the first floor, you will have a sensorial experience with this audiowalk and discover the story of the inquisition and the people of Cartagena. Narrated by no other than Torquemada, one of the most famous inquisitors, and Paula Eguiluz, a mulata that was accused of heresy by the Cartagena tribunal in this same house, this tour will be memorable and immersive. You will learn all the stories in the newly renovated museum halls. The tour will then take you to the second floor, with the voice of the museum director whose special commentary will help you discover the history of Cartagena throughout the centuries.
