The neighborhood of San Diego is filled with local legends and stories. On this special audio walk, you will discover many of them, narrated by one of the most famous characters that lived in this neighborhood during colonial times, Miguel Quero. Starting at San Pedro Martir Street, this soundwalk promises you lots of local gossip and laughs. You will discover the different names of the streets and why they have been called in such a way. You will also learn about the sad and famous story of the bullfighter El Pinturero, as the old bull ring used to be located in this area. As you admire the balconies and colorful colonial houses, you will discover the unusual legend of the "tumba muertos street". You will also pass by the house of the late author Gabriel García Márquez, a recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature. Your tour will finish by learning about the romantic and tragic story of the local San Diego "Romeo and Juliet".
