Reindeer Sledding Experience and Sami Culture Tour from Tromso

Meet your guide in central Tromso for your tour and head to a reindeer camp. Hop in a sled pulled by reindeer and ride through the forest for a while until you get to an area with around 300 reindeer. Get out and under the close supervision of your guide, stand with the reindeer and even take part in an optional feeding.

Afterward, head to a lavuu (a Samil tent), and warm up with a coffee and traditional Sami soup while you listen to stories about Sami culture.

Once your tour is over, return to your originals departure point.

You can travel through the Tromso countryside on your own, but it wouldn’t be anything like this reindeer sledding and Sami culture tour. The excursion includes a reindeer-drawn sled ride plus a visit to a traditional lavuu (Sami tent) to enjoy a meal and cultural stories. You also get the chance to stand with a herd of 200 reindeer under close supervision from a guide.
