A fun evening, great food.

A great way to try new foods, see a new area and get local insights. Spring was very helpful and welcoming. We tried new foods that we wouldn't have known were vegetarian as well as Vietnamese versions of other international dishes.

Excellent trip

This trip was one of the best I've done. Our guide (Hieu) was both knowledgeable and entertaining. The food and drink stops were frequent, local in nature and very good quality. You will not leave hungry I thought it represented excellent quality and value and gave me everything I was looking for. Well done Hiue and thank you .

I took the vegan food tour and LOVED it, even though I eat omnivore. Really delicious food at restaurants and corner stands in several different neighborhoods. We were in a group with two guides - Spring and Hieu - and they were both outstanding. We got to see residential neighborhoods in different parts of the city and learn about Vietnamese culture, from cooking to slang to history. We also had a tour with Kiss Tour on scooters. Both tours were wonderful and I recommend doing both. If you prefer walking or eat vegan, then Spring Saigon Tours is your better bet.

Delicious, interesting and fun!

I am a food tour guide in Stockholm and I was so impressed by Spring and Hieu! They are passionate about providing a wonderful experience for their guests and creating the best food tour in Ho Chi Minh. In addition to wonderful food tastes at both restaurants and street kiosks in three different districts, they explained about Vietnamese culture and were happy to answer any questions. I am an omnivore and I loved this vegan tour.

Do it — you will have no regrets!

It was a memorable and exciting adventure through the winding streets of Saigon. We had a diverse sampling of food. Our group was 4 people plus the guide. You will be stuffed by the end. My favorites were the Bún thịt nướng chay and Fruit tasting. Our tour guide, Hieu, was GREAT - with excellent English and communications skills - he made the experience feel like a cultural exchange. We had so much fun. I only wish I did this at the beginning of my stay instead of the end. Note that most of the tours start in the late afternoon or evening. It's usually cooler at night and makes the walk more pleasant. The local Vietnamese will take siestas in the afternoon heat.

Personal and insightful tour

We did an amazing private tour with Hieu! He took us to 10 delicious food spots and was such a great private tour guide. He really catered the tour to what we enjoyed and gave us insight into local life in a way that we wouldn’t have had access to otherwise. He is so fun and enjoyable to spend time with !! I would definitely recommend doing a private tour but you can’t go wrong with any of the options he or Spring provide. They are great at communicating and quick to respond to book!

We’ve done many food tours around the world, but this one stands out because of how casual it felt.

Hieu doesn’t rush anything. He introduces you to people he actually knows ... vendors, neighbors, aunties, even a barber who waved at him from across the street. You feel like the city is opening up to you because you’re with someone it trusts. It was special in a way that’s hard to describe but easy to remember

Great private and custom tour. Started with pickup at my hotel and customized it to my preferences. Walked most of the way but occasionally took Grab taxis to further distances. Highly recommended!

What a special morning with Spring. She was welcoming, generous with her knowledge and love of her beautiful country. Our family loved grandma's noodles and watching the owner making Vietnamese coffee at the 2nd oldest coffee house in the city was a memory we won't forget.

Chilled tour while eating local vegan food

A really nice and relaxed tour around Ho Chi Minh City with great food along the way. Felt like hanging out with a local friend with lots of insight into the city and culture as well. Each food spot was really good and felt like a proper local spot!

This was the only experience on our trip that made us feel like we were part of the city instead of just watching it. Hieu has this warm, calm personality that instantly makes you trust him. He remembered the smallest things we told him, what coffee we like, that my daughter loves mango, and somehow worked it into the tour. I still think about the bowl of noodles he chose for us, because he said “you look like you need something comforting.” He was right!

A great experiential tour you will not soon forget.

Fantastic tour. An actual experience rather than just a tour. Our guide, Hieu, was extremely knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. We learned many this about life in Vietnam especially when it comes to culture. The food was plentiful and wonderful. The visit to the fruit stand was a welcome bonus as we were able to sample a great many fruits. It was a great evening and one I will always remember. Thanks Hieu!

A wonderful tour and an exceptional guide

For my vacation to Ho Chi Minh City, I was looking for a tour which would cover not only the city's history but how its citizens live in present times. Hieu did not disappoint. Hieu gave an excellent tour, not only of historic district 1 but the neighboring districts as well. Hieu's tour was one of the highlights of my trip and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for an English speaking tour guide.
