Highlight of our trip

Spring and Hieu were gracious, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It really felt like just hanging out with old friends, trying new foods (that we definitely wouldn't have found alone), and laughing together. The definition of "nhau". They really went above and beyond to accommodate us and not to mention all the food was so good. If you're thinking about it, don't hesitate to book this. We joked that when we went to Hanoi, we didn't book a food tour because it probably wouldn't compare to this one lol. Thanks again for a great time!

Eat like a local

This tour offers the chance to eat amazing street food alongside the local residents. Hieu was an amazing guide giving his knowledge not just about the food but also the history of Ho Chi Minh and the people. It was so much fun walking all around seeing parts of Ho Chi Minh I would not have seen without this tour & trying new foods. I didn't feel like I was on a tourist excursion but more a night out with a friend. Please ignore the obvious tourist excursions & give this a try. Thankyou Hieu for a wonderful time.

Amazing vegan food tour

This was my first ever food tour and it was AMAZING. So great to taste the local vegan street food from a local’s perspective. I am truly wowed! the food was excellent and Spring and Hieu’s knowledge was incredible. Highly recommend this tour!!! We now have so many great food options for the rest of our stay - thank you!!

Would definitely recommend!

We were both impressed with this tour, Spring and Hieu were both very friendly and informative, not just about the food but also some of the history here. So many great dishes and street food to try, was too full by the end of the tour (maybe skip lunch if doing this in the evening!). Would 100% recommend this to vegetarians and non vegetarians alike as a great way to try local foods while walking through some of the back streets and enjoying good company!

Highlight of our visit in HCMC!

The experience was truly perfect! If you’re in Ho Chi Minh, you absolutely have to do it. Hiu was excellent and told us many things we didn’t know about the city. We walked through neighborhoods, tried fruits, and tasted the most delicious spring rolls. Truly an unforgettable experience and definitely the highlight of our trip.

Special morning tour in Saigon: beautiful, tasty and informative

I had a wonderful morning with Hieu, who knows a lot and takes you to beautiful hidden places which you wouldn't otherwise find . I learnt about Vietnamese history and local life in a captivating and personal way and got to enjoy my favourite breakfast here so far + very good coffee. Furthermore, I got loads of good tips what to do with the rest of the day. I recommend doing this tour on one of your first days in HCMC, it prepares you well so that you can make the most out of your timw here. It's not just a tour that is over in 3h... it stays with you in a positive way. Loads of love and thank you 🥰

A day that felt like hanging out with a local friend

Spending six hourss with Hieu didn’t feel like a tour at all… it felt like my friend in Saigon was showing me around his city. He tailored everything to what I liked: more food here, extra time in a temple there, stopping for photos when I wanted. The fruit tasting was such a highlight I tried things I’d never even seen before, with Hieu explaining each one and joking about how to eat them without making a mess. He’s naturally funny and so easygoing that the day felt casual and relaxed 😊I learned so much, but in a way that never felt heavy. Just pure fun and connection.

This was the kind of experience I travel for: authentic, local, and full of surprises!Hieu took us to places I’d never find alone, explained ingredients in a way that made me appreciate them even more, and kept the mood fun and relaxed. Only a handful of us, which made it feel special.

Hieu’s vegan food walk was one of the highlights of my trip. The dishes were unique and full of flavor , not the usual things you see in restaurants. It felt intimate with a small group, like discovering the city with friends. I liked it so much I joined his hidden gems walking tour as well, and I’d say do both if you can. Each one shows a completely different side of Saigon 🙂

I’ve done a lot of food tours, but this vegan one was truly special. You can tell Hieu cares about finding authentic spots, not touristy places. The flavors were incredible and it felt like he was opening a door into everyday life here. The group was just four of us, which made it feel very personal. I ended up booking his hidden gems tour afterwards and loved that too, Hieu just has a way of making you feel like a local.

I booked Spring's vegan food tour not really knowing what to expect, but it turned out to be one of my favorite nights in Saigon. The food was delicious and so varied ,like things I would never have found on my own. TThe small group made it feel more like hanging out with friends than being on a tour. I enjoyed it so much that I joined his hidden gem city walk the next day, which was just as good in a different way. Highly recommend both!!

Could not recommend this more highly! It was a genuine pleasure to spend the morning with Hieu, I learnt so much, ate lots of delicious food and felt like a Saigonese local for the morning. Highlight was watching the Aunty roll dumplings fresh in front of us, then getting to eat them in a beautiful bowl of broth. The pace is chill, the vibes are high - this tour was a standout of my time in HCMC. Plus Hieu’s recommendations for where to eat, what to do, what to see are spot on — I had the best meal of my trip and the best coffee of my trip thanks to Hieu. I’ve already booked a tour for my parents when they come to visit and have already recommended to friends visiting HCM soon. Don’t hesitate!
