This is the WORST run park in the Orlando area. They sold tickets that specifically said their Howl o Scream event starts at 7:00pm on ANY event night. Some suit somewhere decided that they were going to host a 5k on the night of 9/18 and actually start the event at 8:00pm instead. There was an angry mob at the gate as we all waited for over an hour for them to actually start the event. THIS WAS MENTIONED NOWHERE ON THE HOWL O SCREAM EVENT PAGE. The howl o scream event calendar made absolutely no mention about there being different event hours for that night. They did not adjust hours to add an additional hour to the operation to compensate for the hour of our time they wasted. THEN, once inside, the few coasters that were open were mostly running one train with 60+ minute queues. Honestly I shouldn’t be surprised as if SeaWorld is consistent about anything its poor operations and poor communication. SeaWorld if you’re reading this don’t even bother responding because I will NEVER visit a park run by United Parks again and I will tell everyone in my life about how poor of an operation you run. To add insult to injury, while we waited they sent some poor workers through the mob selling Alcohol and handing out stupid magnets that no one wanted to commemorate an event that made everyone mad. Piss poor communication and par for the course for this park. This was the last straw and the last time I will ever set foot in that park. I’m only posting this to warn others .

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Per Sea Worlds website it states if you are coming for the halloween event your able to park hours before the transition and you will be sent to a holding area. We came at 5pm to park and we were told we cannot park until 6:30, called customer service to ensure this information was correct because of the official website. Customer service spoke with their management team and we were then told that the parking lot will open at 6pm for the halloween event. We were told this was due to a 5k. We then show back up at 630pm and were told it was 7pm. We explained the situation to the parking attendant because the gate opens at 630pm. She said ok you need to exit the parking lot and cannot park until 7. Called customer service back and they again stated it was 6pm. Now driving around and around to wait until 7. Terrible especially since tickets and parking was purchased prior to us arriving!!!!!!

Even after years of controversies, this place never learned it's lesson and it shows... My first impression of the Seaworld park is that they are trying as hard as hell to emulate Universal or Disney with the esthetic, rides, shops, and shows. Some of it works really well while a lot of it doesn't. The park itself is honestly pretty nice, and has some beautiful areas and aquariums. If you’ve been to Universal or Disney before, expect a lot of the same vibes with a lot of the amenities. However, I wanna say this park had more carnival-game stuff going on, something you don’t see too much of at Disney or Universal (maybe in the Simpsons area of Universal or something, but that’s about it). The stores had some cool merch like Loungefly bags and Halloween merch, along with a bunch of ocean-animal stuff, but I guess this comes to major problem #1 with SeaWorld: this place is EXPENSIVE. Yes, the starting prices for basic single-day entry is much cheaper than Disney or Universal, with the difference being around $70 for entry to SeaWorld whereas Disney or Universal might be $120 or something like that. Where they really fools you is the in-park fees. I kid you not, this place will charge you $19.00 for a regular-sized flatbread pizza slice. Like what? At Disney you could get a pizza slice for $13 and it will come with a side salad. They also throw little secret fees at you that other parks won’t, like having to pay for lockers to use the rides. The merch is also arguably more expensive too, but it depends on the item. SeaWorld definitely SHOULD NOT be charging Disney- or Universal-level prices for their shit. When it comes to the rides and roller coasters, yeah, they are pretty fun. A lot of the rides are similar to coasters at Disney and Universal, but nothing really felt unique other than maybe the Manta or the Surf Coaster. Rides like the Kraken were really fun, but they kinda feel a bit outdated with the ride propulsion. The pro to the rides here are that none of them had much of a wait time, other than maybe one of them being 30 minutes. In general this park (and the hotel) were empty as hell compared to competitors. I know they’re gonna say it isn’t their busy season or something, but we just went to Disney and Universal right after and they were mega packed, so between the low population of visitors and the high prices I can only assume this place must be financially suffering and to be honest, we all know why... Major problem #2: the orca situation. Unless you live under a rock, we all know some years ago a trainer was tragically killed along with others by an orca, and after the Blackfish documentary that exposed the harsh treatment the orcas go through, plus the breeding program they had going, it killed this organization’s partnerships, marketing deals, and they lost a lot of fans. Since about 2016 or so they have “claimed” they don’t breed them, are phasing out the orca show, and the orcas they have are doing better. Well... that seems like a load of bullshit. They still have the orca show, a shitload of orcas, they still have a “do tricks for your food” reward system, and the orcas are clearly unhappy. Those fish travel the entire ocean in their lifetime, and these guys got them in a tiny-ass tank doing flips for food and water. The orcas’ dorsal fins are all flopped over, which is a sign that they are being confined to a small space, and to top it all off they have a little “SeaWorld propaganda” video where they dance around like clowns on stage during the show and tell us how amazing the orcas are and how “YOU need to do better for the orcas” Ahhh yes... I love it when out-of-touch, greedy, corporate trash with a boatload of controversies, abuse, and death under their belt lecture their paying customers on “doing better”... if that doesn’t shout they haven’t learned their lesson, then I don’t know what will. If SeaWorld wants to survive they need to rebrand hardcore and let the orcas go—you aren’t fooling anyone guys. Overall, this was a fun one-time experience, but I am unsure if I will go back. 4.5/10

Really enjoyed our family vacation! So much to do and see and the perfect spot if you’re trying to miss all the Disney crowds! Shows and animals/exhibits were awesome!
