Na Pali coast tour was amazing! Captain and crew were professional, attentive, and maintained a fun and safe experience for the entire family. We also appreciated the gluten free sandwich option for those with food allergies.

Amazing views and great tour. There was confusion in the communication about snorkeling. It isn’t a snorkel tour. But it was amazing how close they got us to the cliffs and into the caves. Highly recommend.

The Captain & crew were very friendly and welcoming. The tour was full of history and information about the beautiful areas that we were taken to. We had a fantastic experience seeing dolphins and turtles while also listening to great music in a fun atmosphere. There were many opportunities to take breathtaking photos. Definitely recommend.

I would advise against using this company for a boat tour to the Napali Coast if you are looking for a reliable tour operator. I booked a morning tour on one of their smaller new catamarans (Seikos) nov 16th 2025. Late in the afternoon the day before our tour I received an email stating I needed to contact the company urgently. I called them up and was told they had a staff issue with a family emergency, so they didn't have a captain for our ship (I'm guessing the company is very small and fragile when it comes to staff?). They offered us to put us on their older and larger boat the Napali Kai III with double the amount of passengers (32 vs 16). Since I had booked the tour for our last day on Kauai and therefore we didn't have other days to reschedule, I asked if they could let some other people reschedule. (They have 2 of the smaller Seiko catamarans so one was still operating). I was told this was not possible because of a larger company who couldn't split up on the other catamaran. At this poinr I had to start calling other companies and fortunatly got hold of a very nice lady from a competitor, who was fully booked themselves, but gave very good advise on who I could try to contact to get a tour on one of the smaller and more maneuverable boats like originally planned. In the end I managed to book a trip with a competitor. I understand people can become sick or you can have family emergencies, and I wish all the best to the captain and his/her family, but I think a company with 5 different boats/ships would be better staffed and have more flexibility in case one staff member becomes unavailable. This is not the case with Makana Charters - so book elsewhere if you are looking for reliability. Also do not rely on their webpage. At the current moment (saturday evening) you can still book tours on both Seiko catamarans for tomorrow at 2 pm and you can also private charter one of the Seiko catamarans for a morning tour at 8:30 am eventhough I was told there was a staff issue with a family emergency.

Fantastic day on the Amelia K with Makana, Kana and Uncle L. (Sorry could t recall his name)! All crew very friendly & knowledgeable making sure everyone felt safe and had a great experience. The NaPali coast was amazing to see up close, plus some sea caves, waterfalls, and seal life! They even spotted humpback whale on the way home! Loved this experience. 5 stars!!

This was the best snorkeling and scenic boat ride that I have ever been on in my life! The captain and crew were fantastic. I would recommend anyone who comes to Kauai to experience this Na Pale scenic boat ride 😊

This is one of the most comfortable tour boats I have ever been on. The boat was clean, really comfortable and rides so smooth. But the best part was the crew they are amazing, friendly, helpful pros! The info was accurate educational and entertaining. The beauty of the Napali coast is incredible and the Captain's skills are top level! I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience the Napali coast. As a kamaʻāina I've paddled it and hiked it several times but never enjoyed it, in this level of comfort. Cheehoo for Makana Charters!!

Very well organized tour. Crew is details oriented, they are on time and efficient. The ride was smooth, we were able to choose our lunch ( which will be given around 4.30 pm, so not for lunch time). Boat is comfortable and everything went really well. A true must do when visiting the Island. The views are stunning and the further you go the more beautiful it gets. We were lucky enough to see hundreds of dolphins and a monk seals on a beach.
