Captain Rob and his crew were fantastic. They were very attentive to our children, going above and beyond to ensure we were safe and had a great time. Our youngest even commented how they all really love what they do. Of course, the experience, views, dolphin and whale sightings were excellent, too!

My family and I had a great time with Sean and Kaiou for the 5 hour Na’pali coast tour on the Seiko II. They were wonderful hosts, teaching us history and culture, while also sharing personal experiences as natives of Kauai. We saw dolphins, whales, and went into a sea cave, all while soaking in the beautiful Na’pali coast. This boat is smallish and fast and the water was choppy… I did have some sea sickness (even with medication) but it definitely didn’t ruin my time. Mahalo for making unforgettable memories with my ohana!

The Amelia K was the perfect boat to cruise along the Nepali Coast! It was as smooth of a ride as you can get. Captain Mike was awesome and taught us all about the history and special areas of the coast. He took us to all the sea caves and lava tubes. He even found us spinner dolphins and humpback whales on the way back. I highly recommend this experience and would choose Makana Charters again!

Our Makana boat tour was the highlight of our trip! The Napali Coast is beautiful. We saw whales, dolphins, and other fish. The crew were exceptional. Thanks for a great adventure!

Makana and his team are kind and understanding on everyone’s needs. They assisted every family who needs help during the fun wavy ride on the Napali Coast. They even gave us a chance to look at the dolphins and whales along the way which was really awesome to see even though it was not part of our tour, they were generous to give us time to enjoy. Will recommend and definitely will do tours will them again when we come back to Kauai. Mahalo!

The team on our boat was amazing. We had captain Makana, Ethan and Elijah. They were friendly, funny and great at sharing stories and details. We learned about the history of the Na’pali coast and the people who lived there while seeing the beauty of the landscape. The crew were able to get us close to a pod of dolphins and some whales. We saw a turtle while snorkeling and they gently reminded everyone to give it space. It was a great experience- I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience with Makana Charters and highly recommend this experienced, customer service oriented and friendly crew for your Nepali Coast adventure. The captain inspired confidence in some rough seas, and ensured we were all safe and comfortable throughout, including those on our trip who suffered from seasickness (a risk going on this trip so if you know you are prone I would not advise going). While it was too rough to snorkel we did see sea caves, a pod of spinner dolphins and a bunch of humpback whales breaching near our boat. So amazing! Definitely recommend this charter company
