We had an awesome time on the 5 hour tour. We were able to see humpback whales spinner dolphins as well as the breath taking Na Pali Coast. The captain and his crew did an excellent job of giving us detailed information about sites along the coast. They also made sure that we were safe and had fun! They went above and beyond, for those people that were feeling a little seasick.

The experience was excellent. Both the guides were very knowledgeable and very helpful and kind. The tour is amazing with some breathtaking views. We were also able to swim in the calmer waters. I would definitely recommend Makana charters for this tour!!

This was by far the best part of our trip to Kauai. If I could I would give this amazing experience 10 stars. What I loved must was this is a local company and the owner took the time to share the history of this area and his own personal experiences growing up here. We saw dolphins, whales, and wild goats which made it even more special. But the views and the mountain range was the main show and WOW, we were blown away. What I appreciate must was how easy and safe it was and they took the time to help my mom who needs to use a walker to get around. The owner even carried my mom down from the boat to make sure she was safe. Lastly, the care the employees took to explain and talk with all of us was truly helpful and truly caring. The food was also super yummy. If you are looking for an amazing tour this is the place to book. Thank you, Karen and Kim Evans

We had the best time on Seiko with Tim & Charli! We got a up close view of the caves and got to snorkel. They were super nice and knowledgeable and we had a blast. We also saw a ton of dolphins and some whales so that was a cool bonus. Definitely would book again!

This was the highlight of our Kauai vacation! Captain Mike, Charlie, and Ethan were fantastic, and the sights were incredible!! We so several pods of dolphins, as well as many whales. The sunset was amazing too!! I highly recommend this tour on the Amelia K

It was unexpected that they never planned to take us snorkeling. We got directions to wear swimsuits but apparently the afternoon booking doesn’t snorkel or even touch the water. It was a nice trip but snorkeling was on our list of things to do.

Mike, the captain, & his crew were THE BEST! The Amelia K is the most stable open water boat ever! Sun or shade seating choices, too! Preordered meal was better than expected (my choice:roast beef & gluten-free bread), but to eat lunch while watching whales breach…it could not have been any better! Dolphins, whales, and Kauai history all top notch!

Super fun trip. Saw lots of dolphins and whales. Even got to see one jump out of the water within a couple hundred yards of the boat. Really enjoyed going into the sea caves. Crew was great and very service oriented and kind. Enjoyed getting to swim for a bit but was disappointed water wasn’t more clear for snorkeling. Overall would definitely recommend.

Beautiful day for a boat ride, friendly staff and very informative. Got to see dolphins and whales and had a great swim. All in all an excellent trip.

Better than anything we could’ve expected. We weren’t able to get into the water for snorkeling but the captain and tour guides used that time to bring us closer to whales and dolphins and it was incredible. 10/10.
