FANTASTIC boat tour! Mike, Jasmine, and Tony were fun, informative, adventurous, and kind. We saw breaching whales and SO many spinner dolphins. The scenery was breathtaking, and the boat did a great job navigating the rough waters. This was the highlight of our entire Hawaii trip. The only reason I put 4/5 stars is because this was advertised as a 5 hour tour with sunset, which is misleading. We left at 2pm and were back by 6pm, so there was no sunset on the boat, and it was only a 4 hour tour. Would still highly recommend and give the experience itself 6 stars!!

I'm so glad I took the Napali Coast trip! Not only was the coastline incredibly beautiful including it's caves and waterfalls, we saw so much more. Three humpback whales, two sea turtles, hundreds of dolphins, beautiful colorful fish, and rainbows. Captain Mike and his crew were top notch! I would recommend this to anyone.

What a wonderful experience. From the moment we were greeted to the moment we were dropped by our cars was communicative, happy, and comfortable. Crew communicated exceptionally well and made me feel I was in good hands as we made our way around the coast. We saw dolphins and whales. Stopped to have a sandwich on the ocean and came back in. I definitely recommend these guys. They were awesome. Would do it again and again. Thank you for making my trip amazing!

Makana boat tour was amazing. The captain was friendly, engaging, funny and relational, and very knowledgeable. The boat crew were exceptional, and helped to provide rich history and insights about the coastland and the Napali Coast with personality, wit and humor. Very entertaining. They found a great snorkel spot that we had to ourselves, which was awesome, because it’s one of the primary reasons we chose the tour. The food was a basic lunch and beverages, but that didn’t matter to us because we didn’t do a boat tour for the food, but for the experience on the ocean. Honestly, don’t pay the extra $75 on other tours for a ‘gourmet’ lunch and alcohol. You can get all that somewhere after the tour. Makana is priced well for the overall experience, and we recommend their tours!

Great trip around the island. The Amelia K was stable and handled the rough water easily. We were lucky enough to see spinner dolphins, humpback whales, a monk seal, sea turtles, and the amazing coastline including closeups of the sea caves.

What a fabulous crew, vessel, and super talented captain! They gave us a riot of a good time, with whales, waves, dolphins, cave crawls, waterfalls, music playlists, boat sammys, history, jokes/stories, snorkel, and wonderful memories were made! The day was beautiful, if you’re looking for a boat with a view, book this trip!

Sean and Lionel were awesome! You could tell they knew what they were doing, and they were also hilarious. The tour was awesome, saw a bunch of sea life, and the coastline was beautiful. The whole thing was a great time. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a fabulous experience with Makana Charters! Wonderful tour of the coast and friendly/personable staff. Loved receiving so much of the history, along with the magnificent views. Seeing the whales, turtles, and dolphins was simply the cherry on top. Highly recommend Makana!!

We loved our boat tour of the Na Pali Coast with Makana Charters! The captain was extremely skilled and knowledgeable, and the deck hands were very helpful and did a great job sharing information about the Na Pali Coast and history. We saw lots of fish when we snorkeled had so much fun jumping off the boat! This will definitely stand out as one of our favorite days of the year!
