We did the NaPali Coast tour. Captain Tim along with Jay, Kana and Leroy took us on a 5 hour tour. In addition to the stunning NaPali Cost we saw hundreds of dolphins and a few whales. We went into sea caves, snorkled beneath a several thousand foot cliff and had lunch. The narration on the trip was interesting and fun. The NaPali is a natural wonder and worth the trip. Everything else was just a bonus.

This company is first rate. So much aloha they share with their guests. The Amelia K is so stable. Not one person got seasick on our trip of the Napali Coast. It was a beautiful experience. The views are unparalleled and the opportunity to swim with 300 Dolphins that came through when we were in the water snorkeling..a once in a lifetime thrill. I highly recommend this company and next trip to Kauai we will be using them again!

This is probably one of those deals where you wish you could leave six stars. It didn’t start off too great though. It was a torrential downpour to begin with and cold (we took the morning 8 AM tour). But luckily, we had rain jackets. If we had rain pants, we would’ve been golden. But as the Captain told us, it cleared up in about an hour and a half. He took us into some incredible beautiful views. Told us all about the landscape and the history. We got to see turtles, dolphins and whales. We did not have the opportunity to snorkel. Because of the heavy rains, the water was just too murky and would not have been worth it. Yes, I can highly recommend this outfit. My wife and I don’t really know if we can get seasick easily or not. So we decided to follow the recommendations off the website. We took some Dramamine the night before and in the morning right before we launched. And never had an issue at all. I’m very glad we did this. Because yes, somebody on the cruise did get 🤢. I’m going to bet they didn’t take any motion, sickness stuff. The staff and crew were very helpful, professional and super friendly. And the captain had a great sense of humor.

Very professional and caring crew. Captain Makana showed us all the best places. We even got into sea caves. We saw lots of wildlife including wales, dolphins, green sea turtles and lots of sea birds. The views of the coast were spectacular. I highly recommend this boat and the crew.

This was my first time in Hawaii and this boat tour was amazing! Makana, Jay and Leilani were all so knowledgeable and fun!! They really made the experience 10x better. We saw dolphins and whales (even a baby!) , went into sea caves, and were given time to swim off the boat. I also appreciate that they had drinks, lunch, and bathrooms on board. I cannot recommend this tour and this team enough!

My family did the NaPali coast tour with Makana Charters in April2026. The tour was amazing. The sights and the service were both 5 out of 5. I would recommend this tour to all my family and friends. The rugged coast and sea caves were amazing. We also got to see a pod of spinner dolphins.

Highly recommend Makana Tours for the Napili coast excursion. We lucked out with incredible weather so everything was wonderful. Our captain, Makana, Charlie, Ethan were fabulous, kind, entertaining and great at their job. We saw dolphins, humpback whales (a baby whale breach!) and so much more. I will absolutely recommend to my friends and family.

My husband and I went on the Napali Coast Boat tour with Makana Charters last week and we had such an amazing time. Although the waters were rough, we were able to see a lot of dolphins and some whales. The staff on board were interactive and very attentive to everyone's needs. I would highly recommend Makana Charters.

We had an unbelievable time on the Amelia K! The crew was fantastic. We’re so sweet with our girls. Made stops for dolphins and whales, while teaching us about local culture along the way. Highly recommend Makana Charters!!

These guys were great! Capt. Mike did a great job of sharing his culture as we went up the coast. His skills were amazing as he maneuvered the boat into a few caves for amazing views and photo ops. The coastline is absolutely amazing and and worth the trip. The snorkeling was not bad with several varieties of fish and coral. I would absolutely recommend this tour! A simple lunch is included and is not bad. The crew was very knowledgeable, safety conscious and helpful. Great job, guys!

This tour was the highlight of my trip! I was extremely hesitant to book this because I have severe motion sickness! I took dradamine twice during the tour and I was fine. The guides are extremely friendly engaging and helpful, I recommend this to everyone.

Captain Rob & his crew were awesome! I dreaded this trip because I get very bad seasickness, but surprisingly I didn’t get sick during this four hour tour with slightly choppy water!!! We have a family of 6 (youngest of the bunch is 7 and on the spectrum - he was tired a majority of the time but he got off remembering all the exciting moments). Everything was so beautiful and perfect! Captain Rob got the vessel into THE BRIGHT EYE CAVE & It was magical! Including all the wild life we got to see. I highly recommend this company when it comes to touring the Na Pali Coast. Thank you Makana Charters for a great tour & beautiful memories!

Had the best morning on Makana Charters’ Napali coast tour! Saw soo many dolphins that followed our boat and put on a show, a few whales that breached numerous times, had a great time snorkeling and perfect lunch with a view of the coast. Tour guides were great- helpful and knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend!!
