We did this tour last year and liked it so much we decided to do it again. The crew was awesome. They shared alot of history. It was very interesting. We saw so many dolphins. We loved the coves. There was so much beauty throughout the tour. Would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was amazing! They considered everyone’s needs. We had one get sick while snorkeling and they did all they could to help her feel better. Even provided their own jacket. Always to care making sure everyone was safe and provided music. This is a must do! Only way to go is Makana Charters. They had food. Juices, water and soda as much as you wanted. I just can’t say enough good.

Although we have sailed on Makana previously to the NaPali Coast, this trip was organized around the annual whale migration to Kauai. The Makana crew proved to be knowledgeable, caring and fun. It was a thrilling trip that included not only whales, but also dolphins, turtles and spectacular scenery!!!

It was a GREAT trip. Dolphins, Whales not very far away and the magnificence of the Na Pali coast. Captain Mike, Tony and Lilliana were a super crew. Can't recommend them enough.

Nice venture up the NaPali coast. Great crew. The captain was able to maneuver the boat in some really tight spaces to get us good views which was cool. This was our second time to do this excursion and we love it! The views are amazing !

Unreal team and great tour. Got to see dolphins, whales and the incredible scenary. Well worth it. Mike and Elijah and the team were great. Went in January 2025 and returned January 2026 and both times were incredible. Will be returning

Great boat/snorkel tour. Our reservation for the north shore was canceled due to high swells so they called and rebooked us on a south shore trip. We were bummed but it ended up being great. We saw dolphins, whales, and sea turtles. The staff were great. A few ppl got sick so definitely take Dramamine beforehand. Update December 2025: we went back to Kauai and took another tour since we didn’t get to see the napali coast last time! The views of the coastline were beautiful and definitely worth seeing in person - we also saw some whales not far from our boat - but there was no snorkeling on this trip which we had been expecting, so we were somewhat disappointed…we did, however, get to swim a bit.

Wonderful from start to finish!! We had done Liko’s tour years back and very happy to try out this new Makana tour and it was just as well organized and such a great adventure on the Napali Coast! Great captain and shipmates who were all local and native to Kauai with interesting history and warm personalities- thank you for an awe inspiring morning on the ocean!
