We had an absolutely magical time visiting the Na’Pali Coast with Makana Charters! The tour was wonderful. We learned a lot of history and saw so many beautiful sceneries along the way. The captain and his crew went above and beyond to keep us safe and comfortable. Jumping off the roof of the boat and swimming was probably the highlight for the kids. Thank you for an unforgettable day!!

Great trip!! Beautiful views of the cliffs. We hit some big waves but the captain was very skilled and we felt very safe. Big Ethan and Asia were great as well and ensured everyone's comfort. I highly recommend the Amelia K to see NaPali!!

The team was very attentive and knowledgeable about the history of the Na’pali coast which made it even more fun! The boat driver, Captain Mike, was also a very skilled driver. Unfortunately, we were unable to snorkel as they mentioned though it was blue it was murky. In other words, we would have a hard time seeing what’s in the ocean but other predators would be able to see us. They mentioned they wouldn’t let their families in that water which made us feel more content knowing they put our safety first. It was a great experience and would definitely recommend!!

Captain Mike and crew were very friendly and informative. They shared personal stories and Hawaiian history. The views were awe inspiring. Thank you for fulfilling one of my life long dreams! (And the sandwiches were delicious.). The dolphin viewing was thrilling and the snorkeling was fun. Great day-in Kauai.

We did a chartered boat ride with Captain Shawn and First Mate Kai and it was the highlight of our family trip to Hawaii—no small feat! Shawn’s deep knowledge of Kauai’s landscape, history, and culture made the trip an incredible experience all around. We learned so much about the island, Hawaii’s culture, and preservation work. We left with a deep appreciation and respect for Hawaii. The views were amazing – waterfalls, turtles, fish – so many things only possible by boat. A special surprise was spotting a pod of dolphins swimming alongside us, which was absolutely magical! Shawn’s knowledge and Kai's hospitality completely made the trip. Shawn's enthusiasm for Kauai was infectious. This experience topped our family’s list of favorite activities in Hawaii, and we can’t recommend it more. If you’re visiting Kauai, this charter is a must-do, and ask for Captain Shawn!

Makana was great! The Na Pali Kai III was big enough to ride smooth even though there was a decent south swell the day we went out. We saw dolphins and stopped around them to take some great pictures. Captain Tim was able to get us close enough to the coastline to be under a couple waterfalls as well! All three crew members were friendly and knowledgeable about the coastline and its history. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing boat tour and I’m glad I chose Makana Tours and specifically the Amelia K boat to go through the beautiful Napali Coast. The captain and crew were super friendly, funny and knowledgeable of this area. Sandwiches provided were pretty good and beverages as well. We saw dolphins, did a little bit of snorkeling. It was a fun, beautiful day. Highly recommend this activity through Makana tours.

The most amazing experience!! Our tour guides were very nice , knowledgeable and helpful on the tour! I hope I get to come back and do it again I enjoyed it so much!! It was a wonderful boating experience for husband that usually get motion sickness but being on the Amelia K was the best!!!

We had an amazing time on our trip along the Na Pali coast. Captain Sean and Kai were fun and knowledgeable and made it an awesome day! We chose the Seiko boat and it was just the right size - small enough to get in caves but not so small it was rough. We highly recommend Makana Charters for anyone visiting Kauai.
