Had an awesome excursion on the Seiko boat with Captain A’alona (strong Hawaiian name, yes we are name twins) and his first mate Charlie (she was awesome and extremely relatable)! Service was awesome, views were breathtaking (including an up close experience with a few pods of spinner dolphins), overall experience was second to none! If you are okay with a slightly bumpier ride, the experience from the bow of the boat makes it feel like you’re on a semi-private tour of Napali coastline! The best Hawaiian excursion I’ve had, hands down!

Excellent tour. The boat ride was comfortable and shaded. The sites were amazing, even saw dolphins along the way. And the staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. They’ve got everything dialed in.

Absolutely Unforgettable Experience – 10/10! This was hands down one of the most breathtaking experiences of my life. Exploring the Nā Pali Coast is something my family and I will never forget—and it was made even more incredible thanks to our three amazing guides (Jamie, Kaio, Coby). From the moment we set out, they made every single person feel completely safe and supported. Their deep knowledge of the area, combined with a genuine passion for what they do, made the whole trip not just beautiful but meaningful. They struck the perfect balance of fun, professionalism, and care, which allowed everyone to relax, enjoy, and truly take in the mind-blowing views around us. Huge kudos to the entire crew—this is how every guided experience should be. If you’re thinking about it, book it. You won’t regret it!

Great tour with accommodating staff!

The employees were down-to-earth and welcoming! We struck up conversation with them, picking at their knowledge, and they willingly delivered. The tour overall was 5/5 - we got to see dolphins & beautiful mountain scapes. The boat ride was 4/5 - nauseating and sometimes wet, but nothing the company could control with the chaotic waves rolling in. I recommend Makana Charters has ginger ale available for those who need to settle their stomachs. 5/5 recommend!

7/28/2025: By far the best ocean experience we’ve had since moving to Hawaii. Captain A’alona and his son Kaiao made the experience even more memorable with their knowledge about Kauai and the history of Na Pali coast. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back!
