Makana boat tours was so awesome. The Captain and two helpers on the boat were so welcoming, laidback and chill. They all tried to make it the best experience throughout and did an excellent job! Highly recommend this tour company. Would book again!

Second time I have used them. Captain Mike is wonderful. He handled big swell with ease today and was able to get us in all of the caves. Lionel is the best. Adam was a great addition as well. They are both so easy to talk to and so genuine. I had 4 year old on board and they treated us like kings. So attentive and helpful. I will use them again when I come back. 10/10 recommend.

We highly recommend Makana Charters for the Napoli coast tour. Mike, Elijah and Shelby were excellent guides, they made the trip fun and shared some history and stories of the island. We made several stops to enter caves and for taking photos.The Amelia K was clean, comfortable and pick up and drop off were super easy. We really enjoyed the day!

Absolutely incredible, I have been on a lot of snorkel tours but nothing beats this crew and how well they manage. We saw turtles and lot of fish. Na Pali coast is an unreal experience!

Fantastic tour! These guys were so great! The boat ride was relatively smooth and we had so much fun. The coastline was breathtaking and the water was beautiful! I had read in other reviews with other groups that their boat rides were pretty rough and sometimes snorkeling was canceled. That did not happen to us. Makana had good reviews about the boat and the activities, and they did not disappoint. A definite must-do if you plan to schedule ANY activity on Kauai! Thank you, Makana!

This was an amazing experience! The crew (Captain Ri and Safety Officer Tony) were the highlight of the trip! The captain was very skilled, and we felt safe at all times while still having a blast! The history of the island and coastline provided by Tony was very informative and really added to the experience. The service was top notch, and they provided a tasty lunch and a variety of cold drinks. The coastline itself was stunning! We were on a smaller boat (not raft or catamaran) and the smaller group gave it a personal feel and enabled us to be able to enter the sea caves. A friend of ours that was on the excursion with us and is a regular visitor to the island, said this was the best company he has ever toured with. Highly recommend!!!

The boat is very comfortable and has all the amenities that you need. The captain and crew are exceptional. They are knowledgeable of Hawaiian history and island facts. Saw many cool and exciting things. We highly recommend this crew and company.

Captain Mike is a very good sailor and quite capable navigator of his vessel, which is tantamount to safety for an enjoyable experience for crew and passengers alike. He is knowledgeable of Kauai's lands and sea history which provides good detail for those passengers that are interested in learning about Kauai's past and present sea life and the geology of the magnificent land and seascapes! His boat's motors were steady and powerful, helping Captain Mike get into tight caves for all to see the rock formations in the cave ceilings and walls. 5 stars for the navigation, knowledge & steadiness by which he took us all on a great journey out to the ocean and back to the harbor in one piece! Great experience, thank you! Dan
