Our first time to Kauai and I’m sure this is going to be one of the highlights! We had an amazing time on the NaPali boat tour on the Amelia K with Captain Shawn, Jamie and Ethan. The crew were warm and welcoming and made the excursion fun, safe and enlightening with the Hawaiian cultural and historical tidbits. The sandwiches were tasty. The sites were breathtaking. We saw so many dolphins! The outbound part of the journey was smooth. The return was exhilarating. So much fun! Mahalo for a great time!

Worth every penny! Check-in was a breeze. Captain and crew were absolutely professional and took great care of every passenger. It was a delight hearing a lot of local stories/folklore about the Na Pali coast. Swells were really uncooperative (Mid-August trip) causing the boat catch air quite a bit. However, wife and I treated it like an added bonus to the experience and had an absolute blast with the air time. We were able to get real up close to the coast, along with some time inside a cave. Snorkeling was in a great spot with plenty of fishes and sea life to see. Simple meat/cheese sandwich lunch was provided but hit the spot just right. Catching the sunset on the way back to port was just the cherry on top. If you want a 5 star experience, highly recommend booking with Makana Charters!

We did the morning five hour NaPali Coast tour with friends from Arizona. The entire experience was great! Our captain and crew took us into water filled caves and showed us waterfalls and incredibly lush remote valleys. The crew were wonderful about taking photos, handing out snorkeling gear, and providing lunch. This was a classic “once in a lifetime” experience and a lot of fun. Highly recommended!

Fantastic excursion! Everything was perfect. Captain Mike and his crew were super. We saw spinner dolphins and a few turtles. The captain explained the history of coast which was very interesting.

Amazing service from start to finish, reminder emails and text kept us up-to-date and made me confident of where to meet them before we even started. We were escorted to our ship, given directions and had three amazing men lead our entire day that could not have gone any better. The weather was amazing. We saw all the sites and they got us home safe. Would highly recommend and would absolutely use this company again.

Jamie and Captain Sean/Shawn made this trip memorable. The coast is a wonderful view in itself but their knowledge about the area add so much to the tour. Super friendly, accommodating, and the kind of people you don’t mind being a boat with for five hours! We saw turtles, dolphins, caves, a monk seal, and countless fish. The coastline and its history are breathtakingly stunning!

We did the 8:15 tour on Na Pali Kei III, and it was magnificent. Captain Mike and his team were top notch, and they made sure they took care of us. We saw bottlenose and spinner dolphins, green turtles, and gorgeous fish. The snorkeling was beautiful. The crew was knowledgeable and shared so much history with us. Best part of our vacation.

What an amazing tour of Na Pali Coast! Absolutely breathtaking views but also got to see dolphins (even 2 baby dolphins!), a sea turtle, and other sea life. We were lucky to book a tour on the perfect day where the weather was nice and the ocean was calmer. Captain Makana and his crew, Asia and Leeroy, were the best. Captain Makana was friendly, informative, and funny and Asia and Leeroy were attentive and helpful. Highly recommend this (native-owned) tour company!
