Friendly crew, interesting and fun tour, and the Amelia K was the perfect sized boat for our needs—big enough to have a restroom but small enough to enter some sea caves. We had a wonderful time on this tour!

The tour was top notch! The boat was extremely sturdy and I felt very safe. The scenery was amazing! The crew was funny, knowledgeable and kind. The ONLY but very important reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because we took the 2pm tour which included “LUNCH” therefore we didn’t eat lunch beforehand. The food was very good but we were very hungry and becoming hangry because the food was the last thing we did. It was after 5pm when we finally ate. I would suggest saying “serving a light Dinner “ for your 2pm tours, not lunch. Sometimes people cannot go that long without eating due to medical issues or medication needs. Otherwise I loved the tour. Just wish I wasn’t hangry near the end of it.

Makana Charters Na Pali coast tour on the Amelia K was AMAZING!! The team was fun and informative. We had plenty of time for pics, swimming, snorkeling, watching the most beautiful dolphins, eating, and jumping!! Captain Mike, Liliana, and Lionel were the best! Highly recommend them and the tour! Mahalo for the most amazing memories!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our group had an absolutely unforgettable five-hour adventure with Makana Charters exploring the breathtaking Nā Pali Coast during our visit to Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi. It was truly one of the highlights of our entire Hawaiian vacation. From the moment we departed, the captain and crew were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to making sure everyone had an exceptional experience. Their passion for Kauaʻi and its rich history was evident throughout the tour, and the stories they shared about the coastline’s cultural and historical significance gave us a much deeper appreciation for this remarkable place. One of the most memorable moments was watching pods of spinner dolphins, including several playful baby dolphins, swimming alongside the boat. Seeing these beautiful animals in their natural habitat was simply magical. Combined with the towering emerald cliffs, cascading waterfalls, sea caves, and dramatic coastline of the Nā Pali Coast, every moment felt like something out of a postcard. The captain expertly navigated the coastline while pointing out fascinating landmarks and hidden gems that we never would have appreciated on our own. It was the perfect balance of sightseeing, education, and adventure, and our entire group came away amazed by the natural beauty of Kauaʻi. If you’re looking for an unforgettable way to experience the Nā Pali Coast, we cannot recommend Makana Charters highly enough. We’ve visited Kaua’i 8 times and never went on the Na Pali tour. This time my wife wanted to try it. We are so very happy that we ended up on the Amelia K with Capt Mike. I used to go trolling often and spent a lot of time in Hawaiian waters and I can say that Mike sure knows how to drive! From before boarding, everyone was so kind and considerate. Once on board, Jassie and Tony were wonderful. They treated us like family. They explained so much about Kaua’i and the Na Pali coast and made sure everyone was comfortable and lacking nothing. We were so happy that we booked with Makana Charters and were fortunate to be on the Amelia K. This vessel was perfect for these waters and sliced through swells making good time. Capt Mike has been cruising the North Shore of Kauai since he was a kid and is very knowledgeable. Mahalo nui loa to Hili, Mike, Tony and Jassie for a spectacular and very memorable experience! I highly recommend Makana Charters without reservation for your Na Pali adventure.

Had the best time!! Huge shout out to Jazzy, Tony and captain Mike. Truly made our trip getting to experience the coast line from their point of view. We even got to see dolphins right off the side of the boat and loved the snorkeling experience. Truly a must book!
