So fun! Native sons Shaun, Elijah and Ethan were great sharing Kauai beauty, history, and happiness. They made it look easy and fun to run the boat, keep us safe and happy, pass out gear, guide snorkelers to see the turtles, take photos of us, share history, feed a mob, and generally create a wonderful musical event for a random bunch of humans of all ages. Highly recommended.

Awesome. We did this 20 years ago on a big catamaran and it wasn’t nearly as much fun. I highly recommend booking on the Amelia K. Staff was friendly and helpful. Saw a few turtles and LOTS of dolphins.

Makana charters is locally owned and it’s a small business. The crew was amazing they gave the history of the Nāpali coast we got to take a look into caves and see a bunch of water falls. We ended the tour with snorkeling and eating sandwiches made from the crew. 10/10 would recommend and we will be back!

Great trip on the Amelia K. Our captain was so good at telling the stories of the island. Very interesting. Super impressed with his ability to navigate the boat through the water and up close to the caves for great views and photos. Lots of fun swimming and always felt safe with the remarkable crew on our trip. Give it a try you will love it!

Book this trip! We had the BEST experience with Makana Charters, the best captain in Kauai, Captain A’aa and crew, Asia. These guys so clearly love what they do and are so proud of their home, Kauai, they want you to have the best time, and you will! Super knowledgeable about the ocean, the Island, and its history- you will have a safe, amazing tour and leave with fantastic information about Kauai, as well as see some of the most amazing sights, including dolphins and turtles, scenic coastline. They make the whole trip with their enthusiasm and expertise, Captain A’aa navigates the sea caves so well, you will feel safe and attended to the entire trip. You will feel like Ohana by the end of your trip! Look no further, I promise- you will not have a better tour of Kauai than with these guys!

It was a memory of a life time. The crew was wonderful. Very informative of area. Good stewards of the environment.. the scenery was spectacular. I felt very safe on the boat. Some open and some covered areas. I highly recommend this tour company. I would do it again

Ethan, Elijah, and Shawn were great! They were above and beyond, hilarious, and attentive guides. My friend and I got a bit seasick during the trip but they were very kind enough to check up on us and help with everything they can throughout the whole trip. They made the trip fun, entertaining and exhilarating overall. The scenery is mesmerizing and breathtaking no doubt about it but the trip itself became even more wonderful and unforgettable thanks to the three. The sandwich provided was delicious and complimentary beverages kept us all hydrated throughout the trip! Thank you Makana Charters 😊
