Our trip was excellent from the instructions in the email on how to get to the harbor, where to park with picture instructions all the way to the check in. That made our trip start off on the right track. The boat trip was excellent with everything promised. Our boat captain Makana was very friendly, informative and a very skilled boat captain. With the help from Charlie being very freindly and a pleasure to talk with. They made our tour the best we have had here on the island of Kauai. Thanks for a great experience seeing the island from the ocean. Many thanks for the sea sickness information in your email that help my wife enjoy the trip as well since she was very nervous about getting sea sick. It must have helped because she enjoyed the tour as well.

Makana charters was amazing! Our original day to set out was scuttled due to awful weather. The office reached out and reschedule our tour for 2 days later, it was seamless. We took the 8:30am tour, which I would do again over the afternoon tour. The water is smoother and the weather is not too hot yet. We signed up for the 16 passenger boat (seiko) and I recommend that so you can get into the caves. Once on the tour, our guides Makana and Charlie, were great! They were knowledgeable and shared history of the island and Native Hawaiian life at every stop. We didn’t get to snorkel due to the torrential downpour recently which left the snorkel spots muddy and unsafe, but that left more time for exploring caves and waterfalls! It was one of the most amazing tours I’ve been on. Highly recommend this local tour company. Request Makana and Charlie, Makana was a great driver and if you are unsure about boats, don’t worry this guide is beyond an expert.

Captain Rob, Adam and Tony were great! We brought our 4 year old son and he had a blast! Got to go in 3-4 sea caves and get up close and personal with the majestic Napali Coast. Great crew, gorgeous view, good food and overall great company. What more can you ask for?! 10/10!

Amazing tour start to finish. The vibes were great and the guides are amazing drivers. I'm terrified of boats but they handled everything well and it's not that scary of a ride. They took us into the caves and took us further up the coast due to the snorkeling conditions not being right! Makana and Charlie were great guides!

This was a great experience for me and my family! Would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for an awesome tour of the beautiful Nepali Coast. We had to reschedule our original tour due to weather and they were able to get us on a tour for the next day. If you get sea sick like me, going on a larger boat helped me feel less sick (as well as taking medicine well before and using patches). My kids are 6 and 9 and it was almost a little too long for them but they got to sit on the bow of the ship for part of the tour and they loved that. We didn’t get to snorkel due to the heavy rains the day before we but still go to swim in the ocean and that was a highlight for my kids. We saw sea turtles and spinner dolphins and that was awesome as well. The crew was so friendly and accommodating. They picked the perfect spot to stop and take photos of each group which was so so nice. I can’t say enough good things!

We had the best time aboard the Na Pali Kai. It was a highlight of our honeymoon! The beautiful ocean, spinner dolphins, coast line and crew made it truly a once in a lifetime experience. It was comfortable and large enough to tackle the seas while also being small enough to get close to the caves and waterfalls. The snorkeling was also incredible. Thanks to the crew for making it extra awesome! We will be back for whale season

The crew was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and safety conscious. We all loved their narratives about the coasts’ areas and history ! Especially loved being able to get up close and part way into some caves and lava tubes! The waterfalls were great! The boat was great with comfortable bench seats with built in bag compartment underneath, foot rest, long slot for glasses phones etc, plenty of room to move around, also. AND full size bathrooms for Male & female! Stopping to swim safely in the gorgeous ocean was special! They provided sandwiches, chips, water and soft drinks for lunch.Makana Charters is awesome and I 100% recommend them!

We had a blast exploring the Nā Pali Coast! Makana Charters did an amazing job! Our young kids loved all of it too. We are so glad we had such an amazing day for the tour and it was the highlight of our vacation. All 5 of us were amazed at the dolphins swimming under the boat and the kids couldn't stop talking about it. The guys running our tour were very helpful the whole time, had good jokes, gave great history, and made the day a success.
