One of the must see places when visiting Romania, however, do not expect too much. The castle is a tourist trap. The portions of the interior that you get to ser are not incredibly interesting. The tour guides in the large group tours that are touring the castle are kind of annoying for everyone else. One of the guides kept shushing everyone and was a bit pushy. I understand that's how they earned their living, but the big groups really put a damper on what could be a nice self guided visit to the castle. You learn alot about the last generation of princesses who lived here. The time tunnel was boring and not worth even the paltry $4-5 ticket. Nonetheless this is a must see, and you would regret not at least spending an hour or two here at some point during a trip to Romania. others have commented that the area surrounding the castle was a bit of a tourist trap, but I did not mind the vendors and the stalls. They were very nice people and had some interesting merchandise, although I did not choose to buy anything from them. My entire visit lasted about 2 1/2 hours and I left bound for the Carpathian mountains and some beautiful nature sites.

Lovely exhibit but do be aware that it cost extra to enter certain parts of the castle. Namely the torture room and the time tunnel(the elevator).
