The most interesting part was the history of the princess Illeana. It is less like a castle than a lovely manor house. Fun cute ghost stories on the upper floor but the local people on the tour said those were not valid of those Romanian myths. The space is very small and therefore the acoustics are not good so do not show up on busy times as it will be crowded to move around and very loud. Many better castles to visit in Romania. The costumes from old movies were fun. Lastly, be prepared for the tourists Fest surrounding the entry to the castle as a whole village has been built up to sell you things.

It's just so gorgeous. DEFINITELY A TOURIST TRAP. But that's what I expected and I enjoyed myself. I loved learning about the castle's history, seeing how amazing medieval architecture was, and learning about an amazing Romanian queen. Then doing some souvenir shopping too!
