There are huge crowds at the entrance; you have to wait in line for 20 minutes before you can even get in, and then inside the castle, you're practically herded through. You barely have a moment to relax and enjoy the castle. Everything here is clearly geared towards commercialism. It's a shame. We certainly won't be coming back. Not necessarily, it was just the question of whether it was included or not and somehow for that amount where we had paid in addition to the entrance ticket and the secret room with the secret elevator (included in the 380 lei) we would have expected the guide to be included. On top of that, at the end the picture cost 15 lei. Outside the country, with this money we managed to visit an entire castle (3 times bigger), with 5 separate and impressive exhibitions, plus we had money left over to eat something at the base of the castle. Dupa ce am achitat 380 de lei pt 2 persoane, am avut “tupeul” sa o intreb pe distinsa doamna daca avem si ghid inclus (vazusem pe lista de preturi ceva si de aici intrebarea). Nu mica ne-a fost mirarea, cand doamna f obraznica a sarit in sus si ca si cum era ceva normal sa platim aproape 400 de lei (ea cu siguranta nu castiga atat intr-o zi) si ne-a spus rastita ca la acel pret dorim ghid ? Nu neaparat, era doar intrebarea daca e inclus sau nu si oarecum pt acea suma unde platisem pe langa ticketul de intrare si camera secreta cu liftul secret (inclusi in cei 380 de lei) ne-am fi asteptat sa fie si ghidul inclus. Pe lnaga asta la final poza mai costa 15 lei. In afara tarii, pe acesti bani am outut vizita un castel intreg (de 3 ori mai mare), cu 5 expozitii separate si f impresionante plus ne-au ramas bani sa mancam ceva la baza castelului.

Absolutely terrible. If you're interested in Romanian history, you will get none of it here. Plain white walls with none of the original style or personality of the castle. What's worse - at several points they have used AI slop for projections which are ugly and full of misinformation.

Fantastic place but made for the tourists. Parking is 40lei an hour. The castle was equivalent to £75 for 2. We took the tour and although the guide was very nice, she could speed talk so my old brain could not keep up. Once she said what she had to about that room we were moved to the next. You had no time to look around the room and take in what you were looking at. The outside of the castle and the grounds were great to walk around which I really enjoyed.
