We did the Sake Tour with Ami which was a great day finding out about the History and how to make Sake.... Ami was knowledgeable and friendly and nice person we did learn many steps in what goes on to make Sake..We got to sample different types and flavours of sake .....I would recommend Ami and Arigato for your next tour...Four tourists from Australia.

We scheduled our Sugamo tour for our first day (ever!) in Japan, which was a great way to ease into our trip. Our guide, Wesley, was super friendly, and gave us a great walk around this lovely neighborhood. He gave us useful info and tips for getting around, not just for the tour, but for our stay in Japan in general. Taking this tour with Wesley was a bit like meeting up with a friend from "back home", and we took knowledge away that made our visit to a new country a bit less intimidating. Thanks!

After i had this experience toghether with Sebastian i've changed my mine. Sebastian, the guide, was not just presented us some restaurants, he immersed us in a nice atmosfere with a lot of nice stories came from his travelling experiences:Peru, Asia, Europe... Why have you not already booked a food tour? This was one of the highlights of our 14-day trip to Japan. We only allocated a single day to Osaka so I wanted to get the most out of that time and decided to book a tour with Arigato Travel. We did the lunch time tour of Dotonbori which, in hindsight, was the perfect time because let me tell you, Dotonbori gets PACKED in the evening. While it was still crowded during the day, it's not on the same level as it is in the evening. The food spots we visited were so fun and unique. We got to see some pretty iconic sights and got to learn about them from someone who was very knowledgeable. And I'll take this moment to segue into the next part of my review, our amazing tour guide, Shasta. I don't think it's possible to truly convey how awesome this Aussie is with words but I'll do my best. Shasta is a true delight. She is quirky, fun, nerdy, amiable, and extremely knowledgeable. Our small group was also pretty quirky, fun, and nerdy so we got along really well. We didn't have a great time, we had an amazing time. A memorable time that we're going to always look back upon fondly when we remember our trip to Japan. Thank you so much Shasta!!! We miss you!

We went to some spots that we would never have found ourselves and had delicious food that again we would not have known to order ourselves. We went on the Golden Gai Shinjuku tour on one of the first nights in Tokyo and it ended up being the perfect introduction to Japanese food & culture. We learned so many things about how to order, eat, different customs and words, that we ended up using every day throughout our trip. Our guide Wesley was terrific - he was candid and open in answering our (many) questions about food and cultural differences and really made the tour fun and interesting. We don't eat meat (only fish), so he also took us to places where we could still have amazing food at every stop. We really searched around for a good food tour - there are SO many options - and feel like our decision to go with Arigato was a great one.

So glad we booked this food and educational tour with Arigato. Our guide Kevin was outstanding. He took us to a part of Osaka we had not explored yet. Our small group toured the different restaurants in that neighborhood and we had so much fun. Kevin was knowledgeable about the area and the Japanese culture and eating culture. We enjoyed this 3 hour outing and would recommend it to everyone visiting Osaka. Ask for Kevin he knows his stuff and is a delight as a tour guide.

Our Travel Coach booked Arigato Food Tour for a taste of “ street food in Osaka in Oct. 2024. Sae was our Tour Guide. She was a wonderful young woman. Her English was impeccable and Her personality bubbly and energetic. She met us at the train platform and we proceeded to Dotonbori , famous for it’s wacky signage, various food stalls and restaurants. She explained cultural icons like the Running Man and we sampled some street food. My wife and I have some dietary restrictions and Sae made sure we each sampled local delicacies without worrying about our health issues. I recommend Arigato Tours and ask for Sae as your tour guide.

Food tours are a great way to experience a new country. We enjoyed this tour the day after we arrived in Tokyo. Saiko was our guide and she was great. All of the stops were very different and very good. Our favorite was the stand up sushi bar. We also had Ramen, a Japanese Osaka pancake, chicken wings and a pastry. It’s a ton of food so go hungry. You will also learn other interesting information about Tokyo you might not learn elsewhere. Highly recommend

We had a fun and informative tour with our guide. We have been many times at the market but never had a tour guide. Raquel (our tour guide) was very professional, knowledgeable and pleasant.
