I had a food tour in harajuku with my mum; it was just the both of us plus our guide (Serena). It was a very fun and informative experience and by far my favourite thing I've done on my trip to Japan so far!

I recently did the Absolute Osaka food tour with Arigato and had a wonderful time. Our guide, Chiyoe, was from Osaka, and it was great hearing stories from a local. We visited restaurants and sights that I wouldn't have otherwise found, and the food was amazing. Chiyoe's selections from the menu were particularly delicious. I've done two tours through Arigato now, and wouldn't hesitate to do another one. The only thing I wish is that it was easier for solo travelers to book through the website instead of via email - but that's a very minor wish.

What a great evening food tour! Our group of 5 met Melissa, our guide and took off for a fun and delicious evening. Melissa not only took us to places with authentic food, but also provided history, stories and etiquette in Japan and Osaka in particular. She was fun, funny and sincerely wanted us to have the BEST experience. If you are looking for an outstanding food tour, book with Melissa and be prepared for a terrific time.

We booked the "Absolute Osaka Food Tour". The tour was great fun with lots of delicious food to sample. As it wasn't a private tour we weren't sure what to expect but we were happy to find that the group size was only six including us. Our tour guide Micky was very friendly and clearly proud of her home city. We highly recommend this tour.

We had a very enjoyable time in Osaka with our interesting and informative guide Kentaro, who not only found 4 Restaurants which had Vegetarian options as well as standard fare, He also taught us a lot about Dotonburi area with great stories! Thoroughly recommend.

So glad we did the Sake tour in Saijo, outside of Kyoto. It was a perfect rainy day activity. Our guide was terrific and took time to answer all our questions. We wouldn't have had the same insight if we'd tried to do the walking tour on our own.

Micky took us on the Osaka Shinsekai street food tour WOW! She knew exactly where to take us for an authentic experience eating okonomiyaki, kushikatsu, takoyaki and some local 'bell' shaped sweet cakes, all of which were truly delicious. Nicky is very knowledgeable and made the tour extra interesting but moreover she was so friendly that the time with her came to an end too quickly. Can't recommend enough.

We had a food tour with Ray yesterday. It was a privat tour. We went to see 4 diffrent blackmarkets and while Ray talked about the japanese cultur, history and eating manners we were eating and enjoying the time well spent. Thank dear Ray for the nice and very interessting tour.

Hannah guided us on the most amazing food tour through Shimbashi. She was absolutely delightful and every restaurant she took us to was delicious. I highly recommend this food tour to everyone. Be sure to go on an empty stomach!!!!
