Our Family two adults and a 16 year-old had an amazing evening stroll through lantern filled cherry blossom streets in Tokyo with KAY!! She was so friendly, so wonderful at creating conversation between our group and had fantastically fun places to stop along our tour. Highly recommend her as a guide!

We enjoyed two tours with Arigatou while traveling in Japan - one with Michie in Tokyo and one with Noboru in Kyoto and both were top notch. First of all they provided SO MANY great treats and we were stuffed. Definitely took us to spots that might not be immediately obvious to travelers. They also were great companions and were game to talk about lots of topics not limited to food - we learned a lot about Japan from them. Loved the small/private group atmosphere and would recommend! Shoutout to Noboru for his shojin ryori restaurant recommendation!

We had the food tour with Hiro! Such an amazing experience, probably our top activity of Japan. We got to learn so much about the history of the local area as well eat some amazing food! Hiro was such an knowledgeable guide as well, creating a fun learning environment. You will leave satisfied!

We had so much on Arigato tours, highly recommend! Hiro was our guide and he was super knowledgeable, he went above and beyond and he made the experience really fun and seamless. The food was delicious and gave us a great cultural experience in Kyoto. 10/10 experience highly recommend!!

Product: Cherry Blossom Season Evening Hanami and Food Tour - Kyoto

We had Mickey show us around Osaka for our food tour and she was absolutely fantastic! Firstly you don't need to be worried about any language barrier as Mickey has fantastic English and her knowledge of Osaka and the history is fantastic. For our food tour we had a variety of different foods. It started as small sample bites to ensure we didn't get too full then it was followed by a decent sized meal and more snacks after! We had a delicious tasting sweet treat with some history on the unique shape by Mickey, followed by a surprise stop at a popular shop (i won't give away all the spoiler details). There were other surprises included which aren't food tasting but food related. All the food options were linked to the Osaka area and tasted delicious. They also catered for those with any dietary issues. We 100% recommend going on this food tour!

We went on the Asakusa Twilight Tour and it was incredible!! The food was delicious and our guide, Wes was amazing! He showed us a bunch of cute and hidden spots around the neighborhood! We had a wonderful time!!!

A very unique and traditional Japanese tour experience unlike any other . This tour is a must do if you’re in and around Kyoto and don’t mind walking a bit . Our guide H.Mori San was super friendly and courteous throughout the trip and we’d definitely opt for this tour again without a second thought when we’re back again in Kyoto .

All four of us want to give Wesley a whole hearted 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 review after today’s Tokyo food tour! He took us around the Houzouman temple and environs for sweet and savoury snacks and a delicious lunch and hoppi at [can’t remember the name of the restaurant]. A Californian by birth but an enthusiastic almost-permanent resident of Japan, Wesley was truly delightful, generously sharing his insider knowledge of the city with our group. Arigatou gozaimasu from the Petersen family! 🍺🍙🍤🍣🥢 ps. waiting for the group photos he took or I’d attach those here too!

We had a very enjoyable food tour at the Nishiki market in Kyoto with Sae. The tour was just for our group of three, and Sae made sure we had opportunities to ask our questions and pick between food options. The tour was great, lots of different items to try out and a lovely lunch. Sae also gave us lots of cultural information about Kyoto and Japan in general, as well as about the various food items. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Our family took the Classic Tsukiji Breakfast Tour with Motoko and enjoyed every minute of it. After a short walk from our meeting point, we dove right in with Motoko pointing out various things and giving us a rundown of the full market history. We had a few samples and then had the breakfast that all others were compared to during our Tokyo stay! Fried salsa on belly, miso cod, the best miso, a crab gratin, pickled veggies, and so much more filled and warmed our bellies. From there, our tour moved to the market stalls where we gathered fresh wasabi, and tons of fish to make a delightful tasting. We gathered around a community table giving each treat the test. Motoko did an excellent job gathering up a taste test that didn’t cause us even a blink of our early morning eyes. And, we topped it all off with a tasty custard-filled taiyaki!

The food stops were fantastic – each one offering something unique and delicious. It was a great way for our family to try dishes we might not have discovered on our own.. Had a wonderful food tour of the Nishiki Market today with Ana. Lots of delicious food that we would never normally have known to try if we were alone. Ana is also an amazing source of information about Kyoto. Super friendly and patient, she showed us some of the best sites and shops to try things out. We had lots of nibbles and then topped off with a traditional Japanese lunch too! Brilliant experience and definitely recommend this tour as a must-do!
