We had scheduled the AMAZING "Best of Shibuya Food Tour" with Arigato and had a wonderful experience with our guide Ray. In fact after spending 2 week traveling around the country, and having many other guides, we decided that Ray was the BEST. When we came back to Tokyo, we contacted Arigato to have Ray make a custom tour just for us. It was a lovely and special afternoon.

We had a fantastic experience on our food tour with Jane. She was friendly and knowledgeable, and told us about local sites as we walked. The food was delicious, and each venue interesting. And we didn't have to walk very far at all! I would do the tour again. Five stars.

We were connected to Arigato Travels via our tour agent who used them as a local tour operator. We did two private walking tours in Kyoto and Osaka with their wonderful guides Kevin and Noboru. Both of them were excellent guides who gave us a lot of insight and context into the places we were visiting and food we were eating. My daughter loved the banter and the quirky facts the guides shared with us. She also loved the little gifts at the end of the tour as well which was a nice touch by the agency. Highly recommended if you need an excellent service by great guides with local expertise!

Another big plus: Dani helped us book tickets to visit Mount Fuji. He's fantastic! I recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city, and I especially recommend doing it with Dani. We used Arigato Travel for three food tours: one in Tokyo (Asakusa with Sandra), one in Kyoto (Pontocho with Noboru) and lastly in Tokyo (Shibuya with Clara) All food tours were absolutely amazing! A perfect balance of information, walking, talking and eating. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and fun and took us to places we would never have found on our own. The shops and restaurants were all excellent and the food was delicious. I highly recommend, especially early in your trip to help you get oriented.

My son and I went on the Kyoto Casual Pontocho Evening Food Tour and the Asakusa Twilight Evening Tour on our first evenings in Kyoto and Tokyo. Noboru (Kyoto) and Sandra (Tokyo) were fantastic hosts. The tours were a great way to get to know each city and sample the specialty food and vendors that we never would have found on our own.

We had an excellent food and drink Retro Shibuya Tour with guide Yappy, 3 information packed hours taking us to places we would never of found and great food all the way, the ramen restaurant particularly was amazing - never liked ramen before but the soup here was stunning. Yappy, a ex-DJ, was full of great stories too - highly recommended.

We had an excellent tour with Sae. She was easy going and had very good communication skills. The food we sampled was delicious and varied including visits to places we would never have found ourselves. Throughout Sae was informative not only about the food and eating 'etiquette' but also about Osaka in general. The meeting arrangements were simple and the entire three hour trip was well organised. We used Arigato Travel multiple times while we were in Japan. They were amazing. You could tell they cared about showing you Tokyo and Japan and were passionate about it. From the owner of the company down to our guides. We went to Nikko and had Wes as our guide. He was able to answer all of our questions and even took pictures of our group and sent them to us. So we didn't even need to take photos while we were there. I would encourage anyone who is going to Japan to reach out to Arigato Travel.
