Jane is amazing! Full of great energy and lots of information. She gave us the history of the places we went to along with the history of the food we ate. She is relatable and is a joy to be around.

Great tour, great food, great guide (Yappy). I had walked through the Tsukiji fish market before - but this was so much better. Our guide explained and introduced so much and we had a great meal. We had fish breakfast in a hidden restaurant then a varied feast from the market of too many things to name. And dessert. And a lot of interesting cultural details. Also got to make our own fresh wasabi

From start to finish the care and attention we received from Arigato Travel was top notch. I do not believe our trip would have been as seamless or relaxing if not for the guidance we received prior to our vacation and as it unfolded. The guides who were assigned to us were the best. They were knowledgeable, fun, and flexible for our families needs that day. They helped us navigate the busy streets, restaurants, and train systems. They found us the most amazing places to eat/snack that had little or no lines. They knew all the back streets and hidden gems that got us in and out of crowded places quickly. It was so helpful having 24 hour support. It gave us peace of mind knowing we had a point of contact while in Japan. They were quick to respond to texts and phone calls. They were also great about reminding us to get with our hotel so we could forward our luggage from one hotel to another. Our trip involved using the bullet train from Tokyo-Hiroshima-Kyoto-Tokyo. I would and have highly recommended Arigato Travel to my friends and family. We will definitely use them again.

Kentaro was an excellent guide for our food tour! We met and immediately tried Takoyaki, one of the most famous Osaka street foods. As we walked around, we really appreciated his explanations of both the food and the culture. The schedule was well spaced with walking and even a couple games in between food. He did a great job ordering for us and gave us lots to try without pressuring us if we didn’t want to. Would definitely recommend!

We had such a splendid time exploring the food and culture in Shabuya with our excellent guide, Melissa. The restaurant selections were perfect for our family, and we enjoyed learning the stories and traditions behind the dishes. Beyond the food, which was excellent, we got a lot of insider information on the neighborhood and culture, and had a ton of fun. Highly recommend!

We did the flavours of Japan daytime tour with Hannah G yesterday and really enjoyed ourselves. Hannah was so knowledgeable about the cuisine and the various regions of Japan from where the food originated. She also provided some really interesting history of the area and explained various aspects of Japanese culture that we found fascinating. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting an introduction to Japanese food and to enjoy some amazing food. Thank you so much

Arigato travel company gave my husband and I incredible experiences ! First, we had the green tea tour in Uji with Jamleah. She was an incredible guide! Extensive knowledge of Japanese culture and history with a side of comedy :) . Making our own matcha was a blast and the family who owned the shop were so nice and funny. Then, for the food tour in Osaka, we had Shasta. She was an awesome guide told us some funny stories while giving us history and insight on Japanese culture. Both guides spoke fluent Japanese and English. They were able to help us with other aspects of our trip such as advice and recommendations. 10/10 recommended company for guided tours !

We had a great time exploring the Tokyo fish market in the morning. Our guide, Yappy, was amazing. He was both very friendly and informative. The food would had was amazing - various different types of sashimi. Would strongly recommend to anyone wanting to try local cuisine, and especially fish, in Tokyo.

We did the Kyoto Casual Pontocho Evening Food Tour, and my friends and I had a great evening! Our guide, Hiro, was amazing! We had a great time getting to know him and he told us lots of interesting things about the area and food. We also got some great recommendations on where to buy a yukata and matcha tea. It was a rainy day, but that did not matter at all. We walked a bit around the area and visited a couple of restaurants. Hiro ordered some very delicious dishes and recommended some very tasty sake. Overall an amazing evening and definitely recommend this food tour and Hiro!

Glenda was an awesome tour guide! She was super informative about local eats and ended up doing karaoke with us afterwards! The ramen restaurant was so good we went back a second time!

My family and I took a 3 week adventure throughout Japan about a month ago. During our trip we booked several tours with Arigato Travel/Food Tours. To say it was an amazing experience is immensely underselling it. Our travel planner Jessop was absolutely phenomenal. He went above and beyond to ensure every experience was stellar! Every tour we went on was fantastic. Our guides, Yappy, Norma, and Atsuko, were all so great! Each experience was so unique. The guides were not only super knowledgeable and personable, but they were all so conscious of our 5 year old and super accommodating to her. I could go on and on about how amazing Arigato Tours was to us and how much they added to our phenomenal experience, but I’ll end with this; If you ever get the chance to visit Japan and you want to elevate your experience to a truly unforgettable one, it is an absolute must to contact Arigato Tours to assist in planning your trip!
