Melissa was fantastic during the Osaka Shinsekai food tour. She was incredibly knowledgeable, shared fun facts and answered all of our questions. Every bite was fantastic and she was so sweet and brought candy for our daughter. 10/10 recommend. We also had a top notch tour in Kyoto with Hiroyuki. He spent so much time teaching us about the area as well as introducing us to delicious food. Serena in Harajuku was so fun and made our initial experience so memorable. Ema in Asakusa was also amazing and showed us excellent view points for photos and amazing small bites before our main meal. Overall I highly recommend Arigato Japan.

EK was an amazing guide, super knowledgeable about both the food we ate, the culinary history of Osaka and the area in which the tour took place. He threw in some delightful surprises that we we were not expecting, a quick visit to a hideaway shrine and a Japanese cooking knife demonstration with the excellent people at Tower Knives. All in all a very enjoyable experience, that we’d highly recommend.

We booked directly with Arigato Travel. Daniel was our tour guide and he was great! Lots of good stories and info to share. He was very patient with one quirky person on the tour! Shibuya was a great place to have a tour guide as lots of the good food is up on a higher floor and as a tourist from the US, I would've missed these, as I'm not used to looking upstairs for restaurants.

We booked a wide variety of tours with Arigato Travel in the cities of Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. From Tokyo, we also booked two day trips outside the city, as well as a food tour. They arranged activities such as cooking classes, Japanese paper, making, Sumodinner and a ninja course. They also handled all our train reservations and airport transfers. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Before every activity or train journey, we received a reminder with all the necessary details. They created a travel itinerary for us in an app, including comprehensive information, along with many additional links and ideas for other things we could do. Whenever we had questions, they were answered within five minutes. I can highly recommend this travel agency—never before have I experienced such perfect travel planning from an agency. We were a group of four people spanning three generations, and they always made an effort to accommodate everyone’s wishes. They made our trip to Japan unforgettable. We always felt well taken care of and could rely on Arigato Travel 100%. The guides were all incredibly kind and dedicated. A big thank you to Arigato Travel. You are the best!

Fun way to dine through Kyoto

This was a really enjoyable tour. Laiana was an engaging giude, our family really enjoyed chatting with her and the other family on the tour. The food was delicious and not too daring, which was really nice for the less adventuresome half of our family. And there was certainly no shortage of food and drink!
