A really great way to discover local food and history

We had a lovely evening with Tomo who not only gave us a great run through of nearby Osaka history but also guided us through some fantastic food experiences and local dishes, and finally some recommendations for ius to finish off our evening in stye. Thank you Tomo, Mark & Sue.

We had a wonderful food tour in Osaka with Melissa. She was very informative, knowledgeable, and interesting. We felt like we were out for the evening with a new friend! Saika was awesome! It was just me+my husband and one other couple on our shinjuku food tour so a cozy group. Saika took us to such hidden gem spots, places we could have never found on our own because they were so local! we ate SO much food i was stuffed even before the end and we also learned a lot about Japanese food history and culture.

Led by our expert guide Raquel, we sampled delicious dishes, snacks and sake while immersed in the atmosphere and rich history of the bustling Kitchen of Kyoto. Raquel shared her favourite foods with us and introduced us to dining etiquette over lunch, along with her experiences living in Japan. A wonderfully memorable and highly recommended adventure.

Excellent introduction to Osaka Street Food

This tour gave an excellent exposure to the street food in Osaka. We sampled a range of dishes and Japanese sweets on the tour. Our guide Keataro was brilliant, and shared many anecdotes and little known facts about Osaka with us. He was particularly helpful in choosing the dishes for my wife who is a vegetarian.

Best food tour ever!

We had an amazing time with jane. The food was phenomenal and we really enjoyed her company and all the tips, tricks, do‘s and don‘ts she described to us. There just wasn‘t enough time so we will definetly come back! Thx again for the unforgettable experience.

This was the best food tour I've participated in my life! Daniel was a great guide, full of knowledge, really fun, funny and made the whole night super exciting - besides having great taste in food. I never ate so much on a food tour before, the food was in endless waves! Come hungry! And expect loads of cool spots, stories and new knowledge about the hidden markets of Tokyo :)

Fantastic food tour of Shibuya

We did the best of Shibuya food tour with Jane. It was fantastic. Jane is so friendly and helpful, with so much local knowledge, history, tradition and food preparation. We ate so much, and in places we would never find without her. The sushi was to die for! We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Excellent tour off the beaten path

This review is a long time coming. I did a private tour of Yanaka and it was lovely from start to finish. My guide, Satoko, was very personable. I was fascinated by both the history of Yanaka and contemporary Japanese culture overall. She was happy to answer my questions and was so much fun to talk to as we strolled through the streets of this quaint neighborhood. Often, tours can take you to shops that are tourist traps, but that wasn't the case here. Every shop and vendor we visited clearly was a staple to the local community. I mentioned to Satoko that I was hoping to buy a couple bottles of aged sake for my husband and she went out of her way to help me find a local store and communicated with the shopkeeper what I was looking for. I highly recommend this tour for people looking to see a side of Tokyo often overlooked.

Shibuya food tour

Absolutely fantastic tour with lovely Saika! So much delicious food that we would never have found on our own. We enjoyed sushi (melt in the mouth), ramen, okonomiyaki, chicken wings, gyoza and red bean/pancake like dessert, beers, sake and soft drink. Saika was fun, bubbly, and informative! This is a must do to discover Shibuya culinary delights.

Great tour, great guide!

This was a really great tour! Tomo was our guide and navigated us through the Shinsekai district of Osaka, stopping for food and drinks at two excellent restaurants, and for snacks and street food along the way. Tomo also introduced us to a range of street games and (our favourite) a fantastic Japanese knife shop. He was great on his information and tradition, but also just a fun person to hang out with for an evening, and very kindly helped us out with the route home afterwards. We loved this, and would recommend to anyone!
