After a brief comfortable ride of an hour or so, we shall visit the fairy tale world of Medieval Knights at Predjama Castle. This impregnable medieval marvel has been perched in the midst of a 123-metre-high cliff for more than 800 years. You will have a time to take a break for a coffee outdoors or join a 45 min audio guided tour of the castle at 15 Eur extra admission.
We will then continue towards the rolling hills, populated with lovely churches and vineyards, enveloping around timeless villages of Slovene Brda region. In transit we shall also cross over the Italian Collio region which seamlessly blends with Brda.
You will discover the unexpected beauty of simplicity and meet the families of winemakers, who live here and carefully engage in the magic of creation of fine wine, in close bond with nature. One of these hard working and gifted people will be your host for a genuine local gourmet and wine tasting experience. You will share a couple of hours with intriguing personalities behind the top World's wines and hear the stories behind their art, while you indulge in a selection of their wines, accompanied with delicious authentic goodies.
