Know Before You Book
- Your safety is our top priority.
- You don’t need a special boating license to rent from us as we provide detailed operating procedures of the vessel, and where you can and can’t go.
- Fishing and or crabbing on our boats is allowed. However the state of North Carolina does require a valid NC fishing license for anyone 16 years of age or older.
- We do not allow any docking at any other location other than our own.
- Your rental comes with a full tank of gas and is ready to go!
- Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
Cancellation
Cancellation Cutoff: 48 hours
Cancellation Notes: We have a very strict “zero tolerance” 48-hour cancellation policy. No changes can be made and no refund shall be offered for cancellations made less that 48 hours prior to the start time of the rental activity. This does not apply if the booking flex has been purchased.

FAQ
Do we drive the boat or is there a provided captain?
Due to regulations set by the United States Coast Guard, we cannot provide any driver or captain to operate the boat for you. However we do give a very thorough orientation and operational instructions of the vessel (approximately 10 minutes) prior to your departure.
Do I need a special license to rent a pontoon boat?
You don’t need a special boating license to rent from us as we provide detailed operating procedures of the vessel, and where you can and can’t go. To rent you only need a valid drivers license, a credit card (for a damage deposit), and to be at least 18 years old.
Are we allowed to take the boat to a restaurant?
We do not allow any docking at any other location other than our own. We have found there is to much potential liability (potential injuries, damage to our vessel, or others) due to these factors we do not offer this, we are sorry for any inconvenience.
Are pets allowed?
Absolutely, we are a pet friendly operation and allow all well behaved pets on our boats and at our location. All we ask is please pick up after your pet, and be prepared for us to give them some extra belly rubs!
Is there any shade on the boat?
All of our pontoon rentals come with Bimini shade tops, that covers approximately the back half of the boat. This is set up standard with all of our rentals.
If you are interested in getting more of the suns rays and working on your tan, simply ask the staff before your departure and we will be happy to accommodate your request.
Can we pull a tube?
Unfortunately due to insurance restrictions and liability we do not allow tubing behind any of our boat rentals. If you want to go tubing, you can book a tubing charter with one of our licensed captains. For larger groups you can book our tubing boat to correspond with your pontoon rental and swap riders along the way.
Are we allowed to swim?
Yes of course, however the sound as a whole is very shallow, so please no diving!
Are there specific boundaries?
Yes, all of our Pontoon boats must stay inside specific boundaries. We offer a very large area, with plenty of sights and spots to explore.
Our northern boundary: The North most tip of Roanoke Island (Manteo) across to Jockeys Ridge State Park.
Our Southern boundary: Wanchese’s Water tower.
These boundaries are setup to provide a massive area, but also to keep the vessels out of as much shallow waters as possible, that could result in groundings or damage to the pontoon boats.
Are we allowed to drink alcohol on the boat?
Yes we allow alcoholic beverages on the boats, we do limit this to beer and wine (NO HARD LIQUOR), we ask that you do not bring glass on the boats as well. Whomever is driving the boat must remain completely sober at all times.
Will I need to pay for gas?
Nope! Your rental comes with a full tank of gas and is ready to go!
