This small-group, day trip is a combination of a game drive and beach excursion that starts with hotel pickup around 6am. About 2-hours into your day, you will stop for a picnic style breakfast and a have a chance to stretch your legs and take a few photos.
Continuing on, you will explore the eastern shores of Isimangaliso Wetland Park, which was declared a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1999 for its natural beauty. The park is home to an array of animals like buffalo, rhino, antelope, and an abundance of birds with spectacular lookout points over Lake St Lucia as well as the Indian Ocean.
At around noon, your guide will prepare a BBQ lunch consisting of beef steak, sausage, rolls and salads at a spot at the beach or at one of the picnic spots in the park.
Next you will stop at Cape Vidal which is one of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa. If the weather and tide permit, you will have the opportunity to snorkel (snorkeling masks provided). Should the tide, weather or visibility not make it possible to snorkel, you can still go for a walk on this beach or swim behind the protecting reef.
Return to St. Lucia at around 2:30pm with drop-off at your hotel.
