Your tour begins with pickup from your Cusco hotel in time for an 8.45am departure. Admire the views as you climb into the highlands on the around 1-hour journey to Pisac, a lively market town at the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Jump out to explore the town and browse the traditional market, where you’ll have chance to mingle with the locals, admire beautiful Peruvian handicrafts, and perhaps purchase some unique souvenirs. Continue into the mountains above the town to see the Pisac ruins, a hilltop Inca citadel, located in a spectacular location above a steep gorge.
Next, stop in the picturesque Andean villages of Calca and Urubamba, where you’ll get a further insight into local life, as well as enjoying a delicious buffet lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit Ollantanytambo, where the ancient ruins include a massive Inca fortress. There’s time to make one more stop, in the Andean village of Chincheros, before setting out on the return journey.
Back in Cusco, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 7pm.
