Why take this tour?

Join us on a RIB safari to Fyksesund, the only branch of the Hardangerfjord without road access. As we venture through the last 5 km of this 10 km long fjord, nestled between steep mountainsides, we'll reach the roadless old village of Botnen at the fjord's conclusion.

Safety is paramount, so after getting ready, we'll conduct a brief safety review. Our journey takes us across the majestic Hardangerfjord, where we'll enter the historic trading town of Herandsholmen. From there, we'll head north, crossing the fjord and entering the adventurous and stunning Fyksesund, which lies midway through the Hardangerfjord.

The trip continues via Kvamsøy, offering even more picturesque views and enchanting moments. During our adventure, your experienced driver and guide will make occasional stops, allowing you to immerse yourself in the unique scenery and discover fascinating facts about the fjord and the people who once lived on the fjord farms. Keep an eye out for playful porpoises that might grace us with their presence in the water.

Additionally, we'll have several stops close to the shoreline, providing you with an opportunity to experience the wonders of nature and local life along the fjord up close. To capture these precious memories, be sure to keep your camera easily accessible.

Not recommended for travelers with back problems and for pregnant travelers (over 3 months)

What to wear?
In Sunny Weather (Over 25°C), simply opt for summer clothing to stay comfortable. If it's Dry and Cloudy (Over 20°C), you can layer your summer clothing with your own wind-repellent clothing to guard against cooler breezes.

During Rainy conditions (Over 20°C), no additional special clothing is indicated, but it's always wise to have waterproof attire in case of unexpected downpours.

For Dry and Cloudy weather (10-20°C), it's advisable to wear a hat, a sweater, and solid clothing to keep warm.

In the case of Rainy weather across all temperatures between 10-20°C and -5-10°C, it's recommended to wear a hat, a shell jacket paired with a mild layer underneath for warmth, and wool underwear to maintain body heat during the colder conditions.
